Could OMEs use the same charging facilities that the Optare MetroCity EVs that the H98 were using at AV? Weren’t those chargers removed when the Optares transferred to Arriva? Oh maybe 🤔 I thought that those would have used the same charging facility for Arriva’s existing Optare MetroCities.

Only just occurred to be that X now has BCE and OME electrics! How are they charging the BCEs? Have they had different charging infrastructure installed? and is it likely that they will stray on each other's routes?

Yes, and a good comparison can be made using the aerial view on Google Maps. - As you're aware BT is shared with Metroline (EW) - SO is compact - X is a 'double'decker' garage with open parking on the roof that's visible from the Elizabeth Line (Ealing Bdy to Paddington) - on the Google Maps picture there are no fewer than 54 buses on the roof at X X isn't double deck, as there's no bus garage under the deck outside. Nor is it a roof, it's more so just a suspended elevation. Thanks for the correction regarding the structure of X - I've not been inside the premises but 1) from the entrance on Great Western Road you can see bus parking 'under cover inside the garage' and 2) from GWR you can see 'tops' of many DDs parked 'outside' (most recently of course all the BCEs waiting to enter service) - my point is that this is a reasonably large bus garage - certainly 'bigger' than SO or BT but as others have suggested, not as big as W, HT or RR

Strikes me they need to win a new route as they’ve ended up with Too many buses 😂 It must make operators a bit cautious when bidding for electric routes only to have PVRs cut a few months down the line leaving them with very expensive assets not assigned to any tenders. I know they can be used on other routes but its not as straightforward as with existing hybrids. Becoming less of a problem as more garages have chargers. It tends to be relatively easy to install a handful of chargers at another garage, but any more tends to require an electricity supply upgrade, and if going to get a supply upgrade marginal extra cost of making it suitable for say 50 buses, compared to supply for 25 buses

Yesterday I saw a 79 at Wembley Park it when down the Paddocks and was also blinded Preston Road I don't know why it is doing down there

How long have i got to enjoy the 13 reg VHs on the 295? I've seen some BCEs are now running on this route so does that mean the VHs won't be on it for much longer?

But the StreetLite might permanently be withdrawn. But they are not so its speculation for speculation sake.
From LOTS
1) 29th October saw the transfer of route 295 from Metroline to RATP (at X). Together with electrification (at last) of route 125 at Edgware, this triggered very many vehicle transfers to get enough VHs for the 295. Additionally the transfer out of X of routes 218 (to V) and 228 (to RP) occurred on the 289th, having been deferred since 15th October. RATP’s StreetLites (WLS 30027-040) at X were all stood down for now.
Only 4 of the WLS need a refurb due to age, 30027-30 are 7 years old The other 10 WLS 30031-40 are only 4 - 4.5 years old However RATP has quite a big backlog of refurbs (due to late chargers), routes like 71 started their contract 16 months ago, but some of the VHs still not done. I would be very surprised if there is a rush to get all WLS done before the 226 is gained in 2 months time (and in reality can exclude 2 weeks including Christmas and New Year , from any new bus building or refurbishment)

They will only be a temp allocation on the 226 and then after that who knows? MCL30306 has returned with the new RATP Group logo on the front. I’m guessing it was off road due to damage to the front panel or something.

Which route did everyone prefer the 13 reg VHs on so far? For me it has to be 183, 28 and 295.
