I think they’ll be coded as WLE35001+ WLK I reckon. The E in ‘DLE’ means Enviro so don’t think it’ll be an E on a Kite 😁 That’s a shame. Kites aren’t a good looker in my view but hopefully RATP avoid the brown wood effect floor.

Wow, even RATP are switching away from ADL I wonder if it’s because they’ve stopped production of it (like the BYD E400 has rumoured to have done) with the new E200EV, there no sign of any more ADL/BYD single deckers coming anywhere even GAL The BYD Enviro 200 & 400 are no longer on the website bar the BYD ADL Enviro 200EV XLB which is exclusively for New Zeland so I suspect it's not possible to order anymore. That doesn't mean though that there still isn't more on order as we've seen with Metroline - it would depend on when the cut off point was.

Surely 10.9, its allocated some 10.9 60-reg DLEs iirc I think they’ll be coded as WLE35001+ They definitely will not be coded as 35001+, that would make them hybrid. It'll be 37102+ most likely.

Several Go Ahead routes due to receive new EVs are starting new contracts around the same time as the 90/98. Clearly Go Ahead have got some integral BYDs on order, as several with their interior had been photographed. But will be interesting to see what they have ordered for SD routes - is their an SD equivalent of the BD11? I think some operators will go for the integral ADL range when available - but if the BYD/ADLs are already discontinued, they will have to order different types until then. It seems the E200EV will take longer - so regarding RATP, the integral E400EV would be an option for the 31, but would need to go with a different manufacturer for the 33/218. Singapore has got single decker BYD B12s on order. I don't think they are equipped with the 'Blade' batteries though. They are 12 metres long though there is a BYD B11 on the catalog which is around 10m long but I they haven't yet appeared in LHD yet. The B12 appears on the catalog with their new front design while the B11 has the old one (the newer batch seen at Amsterdam Airport or various European cities). I doubt the B12 complies with the TfL safety standard with regards to the front though, the wipers, for one, are still placed at the bottom.

I’ve heard the build quality is awful as well. Hopefully they will come with air cooling fitted as I don’t think TUK‘s batch have it. They are are like being in a sauna in summer due to poor air circulation.

TUK’s Kites only have one opening window on the kerb side. And The build quality is awful you’re right. TUK’s 1707 rattled like an old E200 thanks to badly fitted grab poles. Typical ‘that’ll do’ British attitude, make it look quite nice to mask the cr*p underneath

Elements of the higher interior spec for vehicles is optional yet Transport UK have the most comprehensive one among all operators. I very much doubt air cooling is an optional requirement on any TfL bus.

Maybe it’s just me but I’ve never been on one with air cooling working even in the hottest days. Heating works perfectly though.

If the windows are also open the AC won't have much of an effect.

BristolRE over on YouTube pointed out a few of the relatively new Electroliners' air cooling either weren't working too well or were outright not working.
