Kids are getting worse, its the breakdown of society... I was on the top deck of a 123 yesterday when a group of year 7's (11 year olds) thought it would be a laugh to let off some stink bombs as they were getting off the bus... It's bad enough when kids push onto a bus thru the back doors when the driver hasn't opened the front ones if the bus is full... The simple anser is this kids no that there will be no repussions from their actions. TfL will do nothing, The police will do nothing and there parents will do nothing. They know they can do whatever they please. If by any very remote chance they were to get arrested there will be an army of do gooders explaing why its not their fault. Strangely Do gooders show no interest in helping the victems of crime. Untill we get shot of the Do Gooders crime will continue to escalate. Things are so bad now that serious crime is now being committed by primary school children. No one is suggested they be flogged but they need to be treated as criminals and not told by some do gooder its not their fault because it is their fault I dunno... flogging sounds good to me!!

I hope that injured man recovers well. That's actually our 2nd open top Enviro 400 - when Metroline operated the 24 one of their vehicles got its roof sliced off - at the same bridge - while running empty to HT.

Obviously still an ongoing investigation, but for number crunchers, the bus involveds was E2 in service on route 24. It was diverted due to the camden fire. The bridge it hit was the same one that de-roofed the out of service Metroline TE in Novemvber, ironically a route 24 bus.

Again , another enviro on the 24 crashes into the same bridge, what do these drivers not pay attention or something it is a joke!! . I am sure there must be alot of warning signs especially after the incident last year at the same bridge.

There's a sign above the arch of the bridge stating that high vehicles are to use the middle fo the road. In fact a picture in the Daily Mirror showed this.....directly above the deroofed Enviro. Must be that the driver was just a complete plank!!

There are alot of clips here in that shared folder one. I look at them later. I just looked at the clip of the 24 deroofing and must ask why did he tape the go-ahead sign?

Thats to aid any negative publicity, it prevents the initial contact details of the company being publically displayed on a damaged vehicle. They only really do it in the case of a very serious or heavily publicised incident like the one that happened with E2.

the bus will no doubt be re-roofed, they re-roofed AVL41 after it went under the low bridge at Bell Green, Sydenham Last Year after doing a nights work on the N36.

scrap ibus as it is poo, a waste of money, and not used on the buses they have been installed on. There is more to ibus than just the announcements on the buses! It is supposed to be a 100% accurate real-time location system. Road controllers will no longer be needed, buses / routes will be watched from garage bases and routes controlled accordingly. Also TFL will no longer need road-side QSI checks, they can simply log into the system at any point and do their QSI checks from an office. As an example, they can say, choose route 82, and tell Metroline that their QSI check for week commencing xxx will be on Weds between 1100 and 1400. This will be done AFTER the date in question, so the operator cannot enhance it service during the QSI period (something Arriva currently does). So ibus is worth its weight in gold in terms of regulating and monitoring Londons bus network. Even if some find the announcements annoying.

Bus and truck crash under a bridge!! news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/7285085.stmfrom the above link. A tow-truck has overturned following an accident with a double-decker bus under a railway bridge in south London. The accident in Battersea Park Road, Kennington, happened as the truck tried to go under the bridge with its extended towing arm at about 1010 GMT. The arm caught the bottom of the bridge resulting in it tilting on to the oncoming number 345 bus, police said. The bus, which was left leaning over, had 30 passengers onboard at the time. None of the passengers were hurt. No other injuries were reported. Battersea Park Road remains closed both ways between Latchmere Road and Falcon Road leading to long queues in the area. The tow-truck and the bus remain at the scene. Three firefighting crews and six emergency vehicles, including three ambulances, responded to the incident. London Fire Brigade said a railway engineer also attended the scene to assess if the accident resulted in any structural damage to the bridge which is used by Southern services and London Overground. There are currently no reports of any disruption in train services, Transport for London said.

The normal safety procedures would be to halt rail services untill the bridge is convirmed as being safe. In this case there also seems to be a risk of further safety issues from the vibrations of trains going over the bridge.

Just about everyone of your posts seems to be bashing TfL or bus companys or some sort of organisation... What's caused you to be so anti TfL?
