I will miss the DLAs being thrashed - at least their fans aren't louder than the engine I'm moving soon, so I will hear the deafening VLAs on the 123

I wish more companies would overhaul their B7TLs like Go Ahead do.

I doubt she works. Seems to have enough time on her hands... it's not exactly like a plane taking off, though I admit the 'hairdryers' are noisy buses... Still her sentence construction is more faulty than the buses' fans i.e "Please help me persuade Arriva Southern Counties to incredible noise of replacement 370 buses Rom to Lakeside"I don't know if she had a limit on the words in the title, it's not Twitter... She's probably scouring ebay for "B7TL retrofit fan kit" as we speak... ;D

I wish more companies would overhaul their B7TLs like Go Ahead do. If your relating that to the fan issue above, then they haven't as I've seen plenty of refurbed Go-Ahead WVL's roaring. Serverking - the Euro II DLA's don't have fans unless they are silent ones, the Euro III DW's & DLA's do but it's not really loud and can only be heard from the outside. Jawuk2000's - I live next to 9 routes, 3 of them regularly use B7TL's but no one in my area complains. One route has noisy hybrids which scream and the dead runs for the 322 & P4 also pass through, both use Euro III Darts who have noisy fans.

Anyone agree with my comments on there as "Dave M Busman" I read the comment, it made perfect sense, I think this lady wanted tons and tons of comments like some sort of petition, but it ain't happening ;D vjaska the Euro2's have fans, I remember back in the day seeing a sticker by the radiator vent at the side of one of CT's first DLAs (i.e DLA12) "DANGER - FAN MAY START WITHOUT WARNING" as a note for their engineers I do remember the Euro3 DW's on the 19 having loud fans, but it wasn't intrusive

I'm surprised she didn't undersign it "Disgusted of Rom"

I see the latest VLA's to enter service have no 'Arriva' logo's, and no London Transport roundals. Any ideas? Their destination blinds are also in lower case, compared with the earlier ones that were returned with upper case.
There are still 2 or 3 DLA's kicking around on the 370, so I take it there are still a couple to come in between now and November to replace them? Would be an idea to keep a couple of the better conditioned VLA's at Grays, as this would ensure they could cover a few double-deckers being off the road without having to resort to a single-deck replacement, and it would allow selected 66 journey's to be double-deck possibly. I think on a Sunday, when the service is every 30-minutes, double-deckers could come in very handy during shopping hours to ensure passengers can board the first bus. - Gareth.

Do you mean that it would be better to keep the better conditioned DLA's at Grays as it's the DLA's that are leaving. There will also be enough VLA's, 14 in total, for the 370. Also, all routes on Sunday have lower PVR's so of course there will enough VLA's if Arriva want to use some on the 66.

I think the DLAs are going to their provincial fleet - though they should keep a handful aside for the 370 as they're quick - and not as noisy Tottenham's VLAs have quietened down, such as VLA87, perhaps someone could get to Grays and do the mod on their VLAs as well - surprised it wasn't done at refurb
