Which 38 stock will it be, the subsurface stock that used to be on the northern line or the bigger ones that used to be on the circle line? It's the 38 Tube stock as used on the Bakerloo, Northern & Piccadilly lines. The surface stock was designated O & P, and when they were fitted with the PCM control equipment they became CO & CP. The R49 was the aluminium surface stock. I don't know if there are any plans to form a heritage surface stock train, I know there is a surface carriage up at Quaniton Road. Check out "From Stem to Silver" for a history of all the surface LT/LUL stock

if I recall right the island line of the isle of white runs with 38 stock Bakerloo line trains please correct me if im wrong thanks

No, the 1938 Stock were introduced on the Island Line in the late 80s after being stood down from London Underground service. The stock in the mid-70s would've been even older Tube stock. There was some talk of the 1973 Stock being used once they leave service on the Underground.
