How is this new shuttle bus going to turn into Lewin Road when it is going southbound towards Streatham Vale as there is a barrier which prevents any vehicles getting into the road.

I mean you cannot turn into Lewin Road while on Streatham High Road as there is a barrier - Google also confirms this.

Apologies, thought you meant Lewin Road itself In that case, they can run it down Natal Road

To clear up any confusion, when I said via Lewin Road and Greyhound Lane that was not meant as an exact route but just how I remembered the details. I am sure they will run the way Steve says, which would also be why it was not possible to run the bus before Greyhound Lane had been reopened to eastbound traffic.

Natal Road is perfectly capable of using one as well.

Is it bad that I want this diversion route to stay in for the foreseeable future. I grown to love it. It is so much quicker than the old one.

Despite the earlier route given by the council, according to TfL the 518 runs as Streatham Station stand, Streatham High Road, Kempshott Road, Ellison Road, Greyhound Lane, Streatham High Road, Streatham Station stand.

One driver at work was mentioning a 518 route but I thought he was joking. Not at work till monday so I try and find out then. In saying this, I would have expect the company to at least inform us drivers of such a route especially if its based at the same garage you work for!

So dennis dart 8044 is parked up at BC blinded for the 518 which confirms that this route is operated in this garage. Spoke to one of the drivers who done this route and says that he does 80 trips in one duty. This involves filling out four log cards lol
Apparently they get one minute standtime at streatham and four minutes at streatham common station
