DLA213- simply a beast, hit 35 mph down Melfort Road, engine making a loud purring noise, very strange; best heard from the outside. Also, makes the same 'weesh' noise as DLA209/339.

DLA207 on the 50 getting thrashed by my favourite 50 (female) driver. We overtook a T on the 60 at Norbury at 39 mph...and I had it down as a slow bus! Making a high pitched whirring sound.

DW38 just hit 50mph along Kennington Road on the 159. i don't think thats anything to be proud of Others in authority might be reading this. A car doing 50 in a 30 limit is bad enough, but a 10 ton bus, even if it was empty beggars belief!!

Have firms started disconnecting their RIBAS systems on some vehicles? I had thought buses were generally restricted to 43mph.

I'm sure when they get the chance, all buses along Kennington Road get thrashed, certainly the X68's do. And amazing to see these 10 year old DWs hitting these high speeds which most newer buses could only dream of.

It might be "amazing" that a 10 year old bus can do 50mph, but think on this-the route and stock number are detailed here-it wouldn't take a brain surgeon to work out which driver(s) from BN were driving it at that location
