The fact nobody is on site does not mean works have not been completed, reinstatement maybe required once a leak is repaired. uote author=" cl54 " source="/post/630404/thread" timestamp="1618656019"] Ah that’s why I saw these 3 routes at all sorts of weird places yesterday Still on diversion today. Of course, being Thames Water, no work on site. To make things worse, temporary traffic lights in Baker Road for other works. The re-instatement works were completed on Tuesday but the traffic management remained in place. Two days of exchanging messages with Thames Water was frustrating. Responses last night blamed London Buses for the diversions and Greenwich Council for the Traffic Management. I threatened to send my pictures of the completed re-instatement and the traffic mis-management to BBC London and the Evening Standard. Fortunately things are back to normal today. As an aside, the stop on the other side of the road at the Academy Road junction has been hooded for 3 days for public realm work which doesn't seem to have happened.

The re-instatement works were completed on Tuesday but the traffic management remained in place.. This happens frequently. At some point in the last few years, those actually doing the roadworks stopped having anything to do with the traffic management and when they finished their roadworks they toddled off leaving the traffic management in place for another company to come and collect. On one occasion in Knockholt, the traffic management remained for nearly four days before it was collected - most frustrating until some motorist turned the lights around and allowed traffic to flow on a priority basis

As usual the method statement would have contained the phrase "vans will used to protect the workforce". If the re-instatement team had reduced the barriers to just around the former holes in case of settlement the diversions wouldn't have necessary even with the traffic management in place.

The 319 was yesterday evening sighted in Tooting Broadway with the 219 behind, both coming from Garratt Lane with the 319 continuing across into Mitcham Road. Presumably something happened around Tooting Bec Station.

Roadworks on St Johns Road in Clapham Junction (on the bus only section) 35 & 37 diverted via Lavender Hill & Cedars Road rejoining LOR at Rookery Road All others diverted via St Johns Hill, Strath Terrace & Bolingbroke Grove to LOR Not sure about the 337 and if it skips Clapham Junction completely?

Staines Road West (A308) will be having four months of roadworks including lane closures and no right / left turns. 290 will be on diversion for probably the majority of the four month. Guessing it’ll go down Feltham Hill Road. I think both 216 and 290 will struggle with the congestion as a result.

Must be issues on the Barking Road route 115 is diverted via Keir Hardie, Victoria Dock Road Nd Prince Regent Lane! I am assuming routes 5,300 and 330 are curtailed to Abbey Arms or Green Gate.
Edit : serious stabbing at Canning Town on Barking Road.

Not sure what the reason for this is. 216s were on diversion using the 635 routing in Sunbury.

Edit : serious stabbing at Canning Town on Barking Road. Yep, happened to be driving past just seconds after it happened and got stuck in a load of traffic. The guy was being given CPR so didn't look good and the Air Ambulance turned up too. I saw multiple buses coming down the A13 too so I wouldn't be surprised if heading Westbound they're using the A13 and only going via Kier Hardie on their return. I also saw a 69 going through the McDonald's car park which was a sight.

Also spotted a radon 276 in the mix on Victoria Dock Road.

NMCC is showing all routes that terminate at the bus station coming from the East are cutting short at Barking Road, although the 330 is being put on diversion alongside the 115. The 276 is being sent straight down Star Lane while the 241 and 474 are cutting short at Canning Town Bus Station.

Will be impossible to limit passenger numbers on buses. Ideally they need to get another route running the diversion to support the 115 with the loadings even if just to clear the peak loadings.

Seen on BBC News that the stabbing was fatal, the area will probably be closed for quite a few hours now while forensics move in. Now that traffic will probably be calming down on the A13 it might be an idea to send every other 5 through to serve the bus station. The 69 will probably have to be left at Hermit Road for now as I don't think the buses can easily get to the bus station through any other roads without an extremely long diversion through Plaistow.

Indeed was fatal a 14 year old! really awful.
Not sure where the buses have diverted to now as the 115 is no longer in diversion via Custom House. Guessing maybe Star Lane - Double Deckers have used this route before.
