Routes 407, 410, 463, 612, 633 and SL7 are being diverted in both directions along Croydon Road due to pipe repairs after a sinkhole appeared along the road. Routes 407 and SL7 are being diverted from Croydon Road along Plough Lane, Stafford Road, Woodcote Road, Manor Road, Parkgate Road and Park Lane in both directions. Missing Stops - Church Road (GT) to Croydon Road / Wallington Green (GW) towards Sutton Heathrow Airport Central & Croydon Road / Wallington Green (GP) to Guy Road (D) towards West Croydon and Caterham. Route 410 is being diverted along from Croydon Road onto Plough Lane, Stafford Road, Woodcote Road, and Manor Road in both directions. Missing Stops - Queens Road (GK) to Guy Road (D) towards Crystal Palace & Church Road (GT) to Shotfield (E) towards Wallington. Routes 463 and 633 are being diverted from Hillier's Lane onto Croydon Road, Plough Lane, Stafford Road, Woodcote Road and Manor Road. Missing Stops - Queens Road (GK) to Guy Road (D) towards Pollards Hill & Church Road (GT) to Wallington Town Centre (J) towards Coulsdon South. Currently unsure on where the 612 will start, as it certainly can't go down Croydon Road right now! My best guess would be Wallington Station as you cannot turn right at the lights at Wallington Green headed towards Wallington via the Acre Lane, meaning Queens Road wouldn't work as the only other option would be turning down at Hackbridge to get to Queen Road I doubt will happen, meaning the 612 is likely to start and end at Wallington Station (D) for the time being, if somebody local could check this though it would be greatly appreciated! (Potential) Missing Stops - Queens Road (GK) to The Holt (GR) towards Wallington Grammar School & Walliangton County Grammar School (GV) to Wallington Station / Manor Road (A) towards Selsdon. Dates- 25/9/24 - ( www.thameswater.co.uk/network-latest/croydon-road-sm6 estimates it could be 4 weeks, whilst www.yourlocalguardian.co.uk/li/traffic_and_travel.in.Croydon/ estimates 4th of October, I'd personally listen to the company doing the repairs however. ) Wish TfL posted it earlier, was surprised when my 463 was on diversion at about 6am and missed my connection with the SL7 as the 157 & 407 from Wallington to Carshalton were about 10 minutes after I got to Wallington. They've posted it on the website today afternoon with an end date of 25/10 which seems to just be a rough date. The website also states the 612 will be starting and ending at Queens Road. I guess they're willing to throw the buses down all the way to Hackbridge to turn back up onto start at Queen's Road, a little bit stupid on TfLs end in my opinion but whatever works! I got to experience the view from a 633 a few days ago, it was pretty nice having a WHV go along the tight bridge near Bandon Hill Cemetery, definitely an experience you shouldn't miss out on if you're in the area and waiting for a 407 or SL7, pretty fun diversion over all!

Couldn't they turn at Wallington Corner? Yeah, I was thinking about getting an AM 633 that's going towards Pollards Hill as that should avoid the school flock from the Wallington schools. Does anyone know if the SL7 is in reality running straight down Stafford Lane from Waddon, or is it still going via Plough Lane like the 407

I'm not sure Parkgate Road would be much help, they might as well walk down to Carshalton, although a stop in Wallington should be mandated for the SL7 to retain links with the other routes that serve Croydon Road/Wallington Green and are now on diversion

And I agree with the mandated stop, either the station or town centre for certain.

264 presently diverted via Purley Way, Therapia Lane (tram stop) and Beddington Lane, reportedly due to a drunk driver crashing into the dug up roadworks along Mitcham Road which damaged the gas pipe

Earlsfield Road is going to be closed so the 77 will be on diversion, presumably via Wandsworth. There are some exact dates and times when the diversion will be active displayed on signs in Earlsfield but I forgot what it said and there’s no mention of it online Finished on the 27th, and it was only from about 9am to 3:30pm each day. Pretty much all drivers stopped (I saw one who didn’t but there was another one a minute behind), the bunching was bad and there were still tons of people getting left behind at stops here and there despite the 77 providing additional support to and from Wandsworth

The Sutton terminus of routes 164, 470 and N44 will be temporarily altered from Sutton Station due to electrical works. Route 164 buses set down, stand and pick up on Sutton Court Road, at stop Sutton Court Road (M). Routes 470 and N44 buses will set down and pick up on Brighton Road, presumably turning via Cedar Road, Langley Park Road and Cavendish Road. Stops missed: Sutton Station/The Quadrant (Q) Dates: 30/9/24-8/11/24 The diversion for routes 164, 470 and N44 has been cancelled. However, there is an additional works site on Cedar Road. Route S3 is now being diverted via Langley Park Road and Cavendish Road to Brighton Road. The finish date has also been moved to 6/12/24 --- Route 153 is currently being diverted away from the Barnsbury area due to water works. Southbound buses are being diverted direct via Caledonian Road from Nags Head to Copenhagen Street, avoiding the Holloway Road area as well as Barnsbury. Northbound buses are being diverted via Caledonian Road and Mackenzie Road to LOR. Stops missed: Tollington Road (S), Holloway Road Station (SY), Liverpool Road (SX), Lough Road (SW), Westbourne Road/Jupiter Way (B, C), Ellington Street (U, X), Westbourne Road/Arundel Square (W), Offord Road (V), The Hemingford Arms (S, T), Richmond Avenue (V, W), Hemingford Road (U), Copenhagen Street (X) Dates: 30/9/24-8/12/24

More Garratt Lane closures. The 44, 270 and N44 will be on diversion from 21:00 to 05:00, IIRC via Earlsfield Road, Trinity Road and A205 between Earlsfield and Wandsworth. Dates are the 7th - 11th and 14th - 16th this month.
I didn’t have time to ride the Tooting Bec one a few months back, but this time it would be lovely to get as actually good bus AKA 109 hybrid on the 270 or 44 WHV with a hillclimb and speed opportunity on Trinity Road

The official route that was stated follows Earsfield Road, Trinity Road, Huguenot Place and East Hill.

The driver did hesitate about halfway the turn into Penwith Road and we just sat facing into the pub for a good few minutes, I assume he was considering the risk of reversing vs the risk of going down Penwith Road as it was very very tight. Diversions like this is why bustimes is key as on my return journey I had no clue where the buses were actually going via on diversion so had to opt for an Uber instead.

Passed that junction yesterday and there are temporary traffic lights due to separate roadworks under the railway bridge. Can only imagine what traffic will be like for the upcoming Friday afternoon rush hour
