Feel sorry for people on the cross Ilford services who'll have to trek back to the station or beyond Hainault St. That won't be popular.

That would explain why they are all getting the new schedules talked about a couple of weeks ago. It also explains why the 169 is exempt as its diversion will arguably be time neutral as opposed to the others where they'd all end up saving a lot of time by skipping the whole town centre.

Further to my previous post on Twickenham diversions I see that the avoided sections now have 'planned closure' notices on every stop (if anyone reads them). I have also noticed another event the following week, when Crossdeep is to be completely closed for 5 nights from 8 p.m. for resurfacing (possibly not before time). I would expect that the 33 and R68 will divert via Heath Road and Hampton Road to Fulwell Garage; the R68 could then go via Stanley Road and Teddington town centre to regain line of route at the Lock, maintaining a service to Teddington. Again there will be long sections of route that are not served.

IN recent times when buses have been diverted or delayed and a new timetable is required as the journey time is longer, the frequency has been reduced. Here it seems journey times will be improved, but the corollary should be an increase in frequency. Can't see that happening though!!!!!

Victoria Dock Road blocked by badly parked Crossrail worker cars. 2 x 325 and x 147s stuck. Other 147s diverting down Freemasons Rd and assume 325 via Prince Regent Lane.
Newham council seems to have forgot to include this road when it introduced parking restrictions a couple of years ago!
Looking on Twitter it happened last night too!

So it seems Victoria Dock is still partially blocked. 147 seems to have returned to normal routing but 325 is still cut short at Plaistow Abbey Arms.
Unusually they decided to divert buses from Plaistow Abbey Arms out of service to Canning Town (Standing at the side of McDonalds where the bus stand was removed a couple of years ago) I then assume they run light via the A13 starting at New Barn Street to return to Beckton. Not sure why the normal diversion route via Prince Regent Lane is not being used.
Hopefully Newham Council will be on the case and will enforce parking restrictions. Speaking to a 325 he said its happening almost daily! He had a bit of a dig at 147 drivers saying they don't look ahead and try and force way through. In fairness I did see two 147s stuck.

176, 185 197 and 363 are diverted away from London road due to a burst water main down Honor oak road and around.
For a road that only see’s a single deck P4 most of the time it’s had 6 different DD’s going down in the last week as routes 122 and 171 were diverted down there up to Saturday.

For a road that only see’s a single deck P4 most of the time it’s had 6 different DD’s going down in the last week as routes 122 and 171 were diverted down there up to Saturday. It's a rather complex diversion depending on the route. 176, 185 and 197 are straight forward, diverted from Dulwich Library via Barry Road, Peckham Rye, Forest Hill Road, Honor Oak Road to line of route. P4 is diverted Lewisham bound from Dulwich Common, left Lordship Lane, right Barry Road, right Forest Hill Road, right Wood Vale to line of route. Brixton bound is diverted away from Honor Oak Road, straight down Forest Hill Road, Peckham Rye, left Barry Road, left Lordship Lane, right Dulwich Common to line of route. 363, up Forest Hill Road, right Honor Oak Road, left London Road, right Dartmouth Road, right Kirkdale, left Sydenham Hill to line of route. 356 is on diversion Upper Sydenham bound only via Dartmouth Road to line of route, Shirley bound is normal. Route P13 is diverted via Lordship Lane and Barry Road, and is unable to serve stops between Underhill Road/Melford Road and Friern Road.

Bit of a strange one this. The 147 is on diversion away from the buses only section of High Street North in East Ham Via Ron Leighton Way - the bus severed the last stop in Barking road before turning into Ron Leighton Way, the driver made the usual this bus on diversion but never gave any further details until the bus was on the move and advised he would not serve the normal diversion stop instead never stopped again until Stop D Bendish Road in High Street North. There were passengers waiting at the stop in Ron Leighton Way so I assume it was open for other routes? was a bit inconvenient for passengers that could have got off instead in Barking Road if the driver had bothered to tell passengers what was happening.

A diversion I have seen today in Twickenham. Hampton Road is closed for some reason for a very short stretch on the southern side of Twickenham Green. The signposted diversion for cars is via First Cross Road, which only adds a short distance, but this would not be suitable for buses. The bus diversion is to continue on Staines Road, left into Sixth Cross Road to Fulwell Garage except for the 290 which continues on Staines Road missing out Fulwell altogether. Quite a long diversion and a few unreserved stops for a few yards of roadworks.
