Just to throw this into the mix, didn't the 350 have a micro-allocation of Geminis at one point which only ran peak journeys? I'm sure I remember there being a Volvo or 2 at WS at one point. When the H50 was renumbered 350 & converted to single deck, one Gemini remained to run a peak journey - the other couple of Gemini's must of transferred to BC. That's how I remember it anyway ;D Correct!

Can Abellio do a trial week with the trident's on the 112 and the e200's on the 350 to see if that would make more sense. There were loads of Tridents free from the 3 - I don't know why routes like the 112, 152, 235, 407, R-routes weren't considered instead of the 350. I was told the 152 was considered by Abellio during tender but TfL rejected the proposal. They even did a trial run together with a Gemini,

Don't forget the 490, it's not only a airport link but also serves Richmond, Feltham and various schools along the way.

To be honest, 9066 operating on the peak journeys is all that was needed. I have had a DD from T5 - West Drayton on my own before!
I have been on MDP's from the H28 on the 350 with around 15 empty seats...That says it all really!
The only benefit from tridents on the route is the amazing thrash you can get like this guy

There can't be many single decker routes in London that wouldn't benefit from decker conversion or longer buses when you look at it, aside probably a few in the Bromley area (off the top of my head). I mean, I've written up a list of routes that see regular decker workings that could benefit from longer buses, and that comes up long enough!

The only single decker route in Brixton I wouldn't deck is the P5 but that should be using 10.2m or 10.8m single deckers. The 322 could be double decked if its was re-routed between West Norwood & Gypsy Hill whilst the 355 definitely needs one.

There's a few down here that should really have deckers, but of course have low bridge issues. 108, 181, 225, 284 are the primary ones. The 284 is usually not too bad Lewisham - Catford I suppose and the 225 Lewisham - Surrey Quays is pretty empty but I rarely see a lightly loaded 108 or 181 in the peaks! Only single decker route that could potentially take them is the P4 (and the 202 of course!)

The VAs and VPs had much more character. I would take an SP over an ADE any day. The best E400's are 09reg downwards which have lots of character Lets hope Abellio are in a good mood and order some B5HL's!!!

I was told the 152 was considered by Abellio during tender but TfL rejected the proposal. They even did a trial run with a Gemini, I wonder why - did they not want to fund it? Maybe because of the tight roads at Carshalton. I saw a 10.6 Gemini on 152 on those roads and it really struggled.
