An expensive scheme that'll add journey times to transport users and add costs to bus operation - must be a record negative benefit-cost ratio. Unsurprisingly there's quite a lot of concern about the curtailment of the D6 and predictably they decided to go ahead with the proposals anyway. Looks like a whole load of people aren't happy if you believe the local paper Bus Passengers complainShop keepers on Amhurst RoadAnd the final bit of interesting news, from another group, is that the NB4Ls on the 38 will a) be included in the main route 38 schedule from 15/6/13 b) definitely run up to Clapton Pond c) will only be crew operated for one more week. They go fully OPO but with multi door boarding from 22/6/13. Looks like the 22/6/13 is a bit of a historic day - OPO NB4Ls start on the 38 and part Crew NB4Ls start on the 24.

The person in the first article who welcomes the change gave a really silly reason why Narrow Way should be pedestrianised. They said they are scared to go down their with their child because 'not all buses are hybrids'. Obviously, they must be house bound or something!!!
