ahhhh a former Upton Park garage bus. Did they work the 87 (Romford - Barking?).
Anyway not all bad news given that plenty of them are still knocking around, one is in the Ensign fleet as a reserve for the 68 and I believe one is with Bright Bus tours IIRC

Noooo the east london 87 was operated by BK and NS before the number moved to South london. U (Upton Park) operated routes such as the 15, 15B, 101, 104, 147, 238, 330 and 376. The 300 and 325 came a little bit later from what I could remember.

I also think the 376 never had any TA working only very rare step entrance Scania workings.

I was more talking generally about the buses that operated from U garage before it closed. But the TAs I don't think ever ventured out on the 147 due to the tight roads in the Little Ilford area.

This was 17079 (so under the same batch) but on the 5

BK had some of the T-KPU batch from new for the 5.
IIRC the T-KPUs were split between several garages when new. T took the first lot for the 48/55/56, BW had some for the 277 and U had some for the 115, in addition to BK's batch for the 5.

They did have a batch of those in BK for the 5 but most of them around 2004 moved on and some X-NNO examples from PD came to replace them

I think a few ended up at Brighton & Hove for a while as well.

These were some of the first buses with the revised beach ball seating. So the Y-reg buses were actually for the 169, 387 and the 87 when it was at BK until July 2002 when the 369 came back to BK which in turn sent the 87 to NS
