I'm lost here - why are they ruined? I'm guessing but .... Not in red Not in London Don't have fabric blinds Not running where Connor can catch them I think it's called "enthusiast nostalgia syndrome" Known to afflict all transport enthusiasts on some basis. We all want some aspect of yesterday's transport to still exist today. I'm still mourning the loss of the B7TLs from AV and First (route 10). We all have buses we want back in the capital but sadly we can't (LU's DPS665 had a lucky escape under the alias of TT's DP42602 ) One bus however I mourn the loss of over all, and that's SN03LFT. It is: In metallic green, not red Has been converted to single door Hasn't got a blind display at all May no longer have its Caterpillar engine Will end it's life at the clutches of the opetator that bought it, who will likely mistreat it Likely to be used on school routes only Will never be used on 267 again. Let's just hope PG04WHW doesn't go through this when it too bites the dust.

Former First London Wright Gemini Hybrids 39001-05 are now with First York, covering part of route 4. I rode 39004 there this afternoon.

Another one of my 'beloveds' has cropped up in the form of Go Whippet WD416, formerly London United VA74 (doen't look at all like LJ11AEG) with a conversion to single door, and an oddly placed LED display but at least it's with a more reputable operator. Hopefully one day, I'll preserve it! V190OOE (not LJ11AEG), photo by Jamie Armstrong on Flickr

Video of ex-Arriva DW34 - sad to see it anywhere other than London, but what an amazing refurbishment! Would like to see this level of refurbishment more often in London.

Saw ex-Connex's TA1 (V301 KGW) on London Road, Brighton on RR duties, bus now with Southern Transit. There was another ST Trident in front but couldn't get its number as it was thrashing ahead on the kickdown.

There was another ST Trident in front but couldn't get its number as it was thrashing ahead on the kickdown. That bus was previously used on the 205 during tube strike extras, with Southern Transit - www.flickr.com/photos/wltmauc/13924433449/The other Trident Southern Transit has is (afaik) Y517NHK (ex-Stagecoach London) - www.flickr.com/photos/wltmauc/16080643817Towards a question - knowing about the articulated buses, where has the Go-South Coast events fleet gone to (notably the articulated buses)? Seeming as BX54 UDO (one of the batch that I somehow had a photo of) seems to be SORN'd?

Ex Stagecoach 15154 (LX59 CPF) has had half it's roof removed and is being used as a sightseeing bus in Glasgow. www.flickr.com/photos/89656176@N08/17617851106/in/dateposted-public/(Not my photograph, full credit to original photographer) Not sure what that says about the popularity of the Scania's that a relatively young bus is already minus half its roof and being used as tour bus.

I think your reading too much into it TBH. Secondhand Scanias from London have been brought by provincial operators before - Stephenson's of Essex own a few of the former SO's and the Ethanol Omnicity DD, Centrebus own some ex SO's and Go-Ahead are in the process of cascading a substantial number of Omnidekkas.
