I don't think a few extra buses will be needed...It is literally 2 - 3 minutes away from Brentford, County Court

I'm not disagreeing with you but it's peculiar that the 235 can be extended a distance whereas the 65 can't make a tiny dog leg move. The frequencies are similar aren't they?

I understand the need to serve what is basically a few apartment blocks built on site of a factory. But I wonder if the 235 is the logical choice (I suspect it is a lazy easy fix choice), how many people at GWQ will want to go to Sunbury. If going shopping Hounslow is a pretty poor alternative to Ealing Broadway, Richmond or Kingston, all served by the 65.
Also many of the apartments seem to be pitched in the sales spec as first homes with good commuting links to Central London so a route to Sunbury seems a daft idea. The H91 also runs past GHQ but isn't mentioned on the map. Will be a real shame if this goes ahead as is.
I find the comments about 65 in consultation odd, if 65 has problems why not sort that route at same time. The former 65 is now split into 4 different routes (North Ealing -Ealing Broadway, Ealing-Kingston (still 65), Kingston - Chessington (71) and Kingston-Leatherhead (465) (with some re-routing). The most telling comment is the one that says it is being done with Hounslow Council which explains a route to Hounslow, and not something that fits in a London wide network

I was hoping this consultation was to be for a Double decking of the route using the ex C3 buses. Shame

It would only take the 65 less than 2 minutes to serve the Great West Quarter Complex plus it uses deckers whereas people on this forum & elsewhere who use the 235 has stated many times that it needs deckers so why extend an overcrowded route there!

I was hoping this consultation was to be for a Double decking of the route using the ex C3 buses. Shame Maybe that could be used if the consultation is successful, and a partial double decking could prove that the route needs double decks, although there's only a year and a half left on the contract (three and a half with an extension) TBH the only other choice I can see is the 195 (which shares the 235s terminus) and the 65 is within walking distance.

Well, TF's new enviro's are already blinded for it! www.flickr.com/photos/leesbuses/9162788062/ - courtesy of flickr member 'lees bus pics' You could also possibly extend the 195 too, providing a link to Ealing Hospital, but like Snowman says, shopping in places such as Hanwell, Southall & Hayes are a very poor alternative to Ealing.

I see no problem in the route being extended at all. Its only going to serve 3 extra stops (Albany Road, New Road & the new stop on the site). Deckers would be nice....Maybe if everyone mentions that in the feedback they give it might be considered...........

"North Brentford Quarter" That's a terrible destination blind description. The consultation leaflet shows Brentford, Great West Quarter. Surely that would look 100% better. Nobody living at the west end of the 235 will know where that is! BTW - I've also suggested double-deck vehicles on my reply to the consultation!

I have to admit, when I saw North Brentford Quarter on the blinds for the first time I had to google it to find out what and where it was!
