"North Brentford Quarter" That's a terrible destination blind description. The consultation leaflet shows Brentford, Great West Quarter. Surely that would look 100% better. Nobody living at the west end of the 235 will know where that is! BTW - I've also suggested double-deck vehicles on my reply to the consultation! Couldnt agree more, the destination in my opinion should be the main town followed by a qualifier if there is more than 1 terminating place. Not only that, the squashed nature of North Brentford Quarter all on one line makes it harder to read, let alone not having a clue where the flipping place is! Brentford Great West Quater would fit nicely on a blind, look better, be easier to read and more accurate!

You think North Brentford Quater would be hard to read yet Brentford, Great West Quatar which is longer would be easier? I have seen buses blinded for North Quatar and it is perfectly easy to read

That all depends on the format of the blinds... If they use the 'old' format, like Brentford in big font and County Court in small then it would be ok. The newer format of all the same size type font (such as the example shown on North Brentford Quarter) looks ugly in my opinion!

Thats exactly what I meant, have Brentford Large with Great West Quarter in small on two lines, at least then you can easily see that the bus is going to Brentford. Buses which Display "Richmond Manor Circus" for example show the Manor Circus in smaller font and on two lines, is much more readable and looks neater in my opinion

I bet that confused passengers! 8461 was in service. I wonder what the driver was playing at putting that blind up?!

I remember TV getting iBus for the first time, and when I'd catch 57s, I was bemused to where Clapham Park was, while the blinds read Streatham Hill Atkins Road at the time.

Yeah only locals like myself would know where Clapham Park but the change was definately needed - I mean, the two routes that terminated there had two different blinds for the same terminus - 45 was Brixton Hill & Atkins Road whilst 57 was Streatham Hill Atkins Road.

"North Brentford Quarter", or GWQ, is infact in the EAST of Brentford (and a tad north, but mainly east). Extending 195 would have good points, but 195 is an overcrowded route at peaks, and Southall traffic, thus extras there would mean that extending it there wouldn't exactly work. (wonders why they even extended it to Brentford in the first place!)
Other than E2 or E8, R68 could be an idea to extend via A205, Kew Bridge and 65....

I've always thought sending the R68 "round the corner" to Brentford would be an excellent idea to give an easy connection from Richmond, North Sheen and Kew into the various route options at Brentford. It'd probably only need 2 extra buses given the R68 is only every 15 mins.

Wouldn't believe that just yet as the results haven't been announced from TFLs consultation nor has it even closed yet although we all know it is likely to go ahead regardless....
