To be honest, I think that this guy just has an agenda to cause problems, hence filming it all the time and getting irate. He would probably have been one of the people at Brixton Garage protesting/celebrating when the routemasters finally left London service. There has to be some common sense here. I often wish to get on a bus that is rammed with non-fare paying school kids. Obviously, I just wait for the next one. If the area in which he wishes to travel, then he should wait for the next one as we would all have to do if the bus was full. I feel sorry for the driver and all the delayed passengers.
Unfortunately, it is people that have agenda's like this that get people's backs up, and give disabled people a bad name. In my opinion, it is simply folly that we are spending millions making tube stations accessible and bus design is now determined by the DDA legislation.
Disabled people get free travel and a Dial-a-ride service, why cant they make use of that??
I appreciate my comments may prove controversial, and I have nothing against disabled people whatsoever. I just feel that the pendulum has swung too far in the way of accommodating the few to the detriment of the majority. I do also believe that any buggy that cannot get through the front door and down the isle should be folded.
