Thought I'd been on all bus types in London until I've heard of some Volvo bodied Envrios and MMCs kicking about so decided to try them out. HV176 (141)- Nightingale Road to Old Street Station EHV4 (135) Old Street to Coldharbour (The fans were too loud couldn't hear the bus. Was nice to see Canary Wharf and the Docklands tho) DLR- Coldharbour to Lewisham SouthEastern- Lewisham to New Cross (was gonna get a Victoria train but they were cancelled because of signal failure) Short walk to New Cross Gate Overground- New Cross Gate to West Croydon Southern- West Croydon to Sutton Things got a bit interesting from here. Checked on LVF saw that VE1 was on its way to Sutton before 7:45pm. Check the phone after that and it somehow ended up still going towards Sutton. Eventually it showed as returned to garage. Wasn't going to wait for VE3; it was at Kingston, VE2 went to A at 18:22 so I just went home. It was getting late anyway. Walk to Sutton Station Southern- Sutton to Victoria Victoria Line- Victoria to Finsbury Park Piccadilly Line- Finsbury Park to Wood Green Short walk home You aren’t missing out on the VE, seen them everyday since they’ve been allocated at A and they are the worst. They are slow, heavy and quite dark on the interior because of the lighting. I cannot wait for them to be withdrawn and hopefully scrapped. The interior can’t be any darker than the older E’s & DOE’s still knocking around? DOE’s in particular have very dingy interiors

Tall people no doubt would want to shoot all DOEs into the sun 😂

Don't know why I've put Coldharbour. Don't believe it even exists

Nice photo ............... Funnily enough I changed me mind as I was heading west this PM so intercepted Me1 too (at Wimbledon) - figured that BCE47001 will be easier to get as it's on a Central area terminating route when I'm back at work on the DLR next week

Something a tad different for me yesterday:
50 from Bournemouth Square to Swanage Station
And enjoyable afternoon on the Swanage Railway and in the beautiful village of Corfe Castle
50 from Swanage Beach to Westbourne
What an awesome route the 50 is although I think I’d get frustrated at the delays at the Sandbanks Ferry everyday!

That's a very London-centric view - getting frustrated at what for locals is the normal speed of life! The bus was 25 minutes late at Westbourne - if that’s normal then I’m glad I’m only down here for a few days on holiday! And the locals were complaining to the driver about the lateness too so they don’t consider that normal

If you used the ferry everyday you would just take the delays in your stride as part and parcel of everyday life. Welcome to life outside of London!

In terms of driving the bus, there certainly seemed to be plenty of recovery time at either end. I think, on balance, driving that route every day would be fun - I wonder how long the novelty of using the ferry would last!

I enjoyed my ride on a Go South Coast Volvo B5TL - EvoSeti in August, but it was on route 40 in Poole rather than 50.

I took a fully zero emission journey today:
65 to Ealing Broadway (BCE 47032) Spent half an hour in Morrisons, came back just in time for BCE 47031 on my return journey!
The Dennismasters really lived up to their reputation, so smooth and powerful.
I feel that this shouldn't be pure luck in 10 years time, but the norm. Most buses should be green and ZE by then.

Working in Edgware Road this morning, and as it was bucketing with rain I made a journey completely by public transport
U1 The Greenway - Crown Walk (quicker to get to Uxbridge station this way and walk rather than take the bus the long way round the town centre) Met line to Baker Street Circle line to Edgware Road
Spent like 10 mins in the station and then my manager arrived 1 hour late.
Walked to Warwick Avenue and back. What I could have done is take the train to Northwick Park and hop on the Bakerloo line from Kenton to Warwick Avenue. The walk isn't too long and I would have saved money getting off there.
Finish work.
Bakerloo line Baker Street - Marylebone Chiltern railway to West Ruislip (Met line took too long so I decided to take the Chiltern Railway) Then got U1 to Uxbridge and did some shopping 427 to home
