Did the East London Transit routes today. (With a name like East London Transit you kinda expect more than liveried LTs which manages to stray on the 15 but whatever) Walked to Wood Green Station Piccadilly line- Wood Green to Finsbury Park Victoria line- Finsbury Park to Tottenham Hale Didn't check the closures for this week but there were no Stratford Greater Anglia services so ended up going to Liverpool Street Elizabeth line- Liverpool Street to Ilford Started pouring at this point so luckily I could stay dry with the EL1 being stuck in the Green Lane traffic LT951 (EL1)- Ilford Station/Ilford Hill to Northgate Road The EL3 from Riverside Centre was leaving in 29 minutes so decided against retaking the EL1 and walked to catch the EL3. Stopped at a Co-op on the way LT917 (EL3)- Riverside Centre to Chadwell Heath Lane 14118 (173)- Little Heath to Morris Avenue LT946 (EL2)- Becontree Heath Leisure Centre to Dagenham Dock Terminus (isn't that scary as you guys say) Walked to Dagenham Dock station via a very dirty lift and a very dark footbridge C2C- Dagenham Dock to Barking Overground- Barking to Black horse Road Victoria line- Blackhorse Road to Finsbury Park Piccadilly line- Finsbury Park to Wood Green Walked home Taking a short break from prefixed routes. Going to Bond Street for the Elizabeth line tomorrow (finally!!!) then doing the Shenfield line joining up to the Central Core with the 295 in-between The EL1 uses Ilford Lane, not Green Lane Oops.. will edit that now

From yesterday
371 BCE47068 FW184 Home to Richmond Station 190 DEL2250 Richmond Station to West Brompton/Empress State Building - very comfortable seats. Metroline have the comfiest seat cushions. C1 BE37012 S259 Earls Court Square to Design Museum. Had different charging points to the ones I'm used to getting on FW's electrics. 49 BCE47026 to Kensington Palace. 452 VH45088 Kensington Church Street to Blenheim Crescent. Lovely interior - wish this would stay. 452 WH45405 one minute behind. iBus didn't work until we got to Kensal House, the final stop. Nice and smooth. Noticed that the 452's didn't stand at Ladbroke Grove but went to X - stand looks to me like it can take 4. Wonder if this will change after route 295 joins the 452 at X. 228 WLS30040 Ladbroke Grove, Sainsbury's to Second Avenue - iBus said 'Rowans Avenue' instead of 'to'. Walked along the canalside for a bit then crossed over to get the 23. 23 OME46037 Alderson Street to X. Normal, lovely Metrodeckers. 28 OME46030 Westbourne Park Station to Shrewsbury Road/Brunel Estate. 7 WHD2715 Great Western Road to Latymer Upper School Playing Fields. I really like these Streetdeck FCEV buses. 272 V274 (didn't catch fleetnumber) Hammersmith Hospital to Shepherd's Bush Green. 72 BE37038 Shepherd's Bush Station to Brook Green - to catch a 295 back. 295 VWH2131 Brook Green to Shepherd's Bush Station - the point of this trip was to get a 295 under Metroline WJ. 237 VW1214 Shepherd's Bush Station to Shepherd's Bush Road - quicker to walk. Was originally going to go shopping in Chiswick but then decided to go to Acton. 607 VMH2571 Shepherd's Bush Green to Acton Old Town Hall - packed to the rafters but managed to scrape a seat. Only fifteen minutes though - the 607 is superb. 218 DE20095 King Street to Acton Central Station - reminds me of the old 371 DE days. However have always got one of the native RATP Enviros every time I use the 218! Overground to Richmond 371 BE37049 home.

286 - Sidcup to Greenwich
Walked through the Greenwich foot tunnel and looked around the farm that’s there.
DLR - Island Gardens to Heron Quays
Walked around Canary Wharf and sat by the river for a bit.
Elizabeth Line - Canary Wharf to Tottenham Court Road This was my first time on a Purple train, it was a fun pleasant experience and I was happy to find an excuse to try it out. I then wandered down Oxford Street and had lunch, and then went to Hyde Park for a few hours. Decided to go home by buses as I wasn’t in a rush and I’d rather not use trains during rush hour if I can avoid it.
148 - Marble Arch to Elephant & Castle It was packed and it took ages.
53 - Elephant & Castle to New Cross Gate This was more pleasant than the 148 journey, but there was lots of traffic down Old Kent Road. I just missed my next bus when I got off so I went into the Sainsbury’s garage and got a drink, then when I came out I only had a few minutes.
321 - New Cross Gate to Sidcup Nice and quick.

Today's the last day of Metroline's operation of the 295. Normally I'd turn an eye on this but it is one of only three Metroline routes that enter South London so with that uniqueness in mind:
Walked to Wood Green Station Piccadilly line- Wood Green to Kings cross st Pancras Circle line- Kings Cross st Pancras to Ladbroke grove OME49909 (23)- Ladbroke Grove Station to Ladbroke Grove/Sainsbury's VWH2130 (295)- Ladbroke Grove/ Sainsbury's to Bothwell Street (things got a little sticky here. There was an accident off Bothwell Street which meant that we couldn't turn left onto it. Waited on the bus for about 20 minutes before calling it a day and going home.) VWH2124 (295)- Greyhound Road to Hammersmith Bus Station Piccadilly line- Hammersmith to Wood Green Walked home

The Shenfield branch of the Elizabeth line has joined up to the central core today so I did it.
Walked to Wood Green station Piccadilly line- Wood Green to Finsbury Park Victoria line- Finsbury Park to Tottenham Hale Greater Anglia- Tottenham Hale to Liverpool Street (didn't check the travel status for Greater Anglia. Nos Stratford trains so had to head over to Liverpool Street) Central line- Liverpool Street to Stratford Elizabeth line- Stratford to Acton Main Line via a change at Paddington (noticed that the Reading bound trains skip AML and head straight to Ealing Broadway after the central core. I'm guessing not to over-train it) ADH45042 (266)- Acton Main Line Station to Acton Old Town Hall (got off a stop early. Really annoying) DE20095 (218)- Acton Old Town Hall to Hammersmith Bus Station Walked to Hammersmith (District & Piccadilly line) station Piccadilly line- Hammersmith to Wood Green Walked home

Elizabeth line- Stratford to Acton Main Line via a change at Paddington (noticed that the Reading bound trains skip AML and head straight to Ealing Broadway after the central core. I'm guessing not to over-train it) Acton Main Line, West Ealing and Hanwell are only served by Heathrow Elizabeth line services. Currently 4tph, but should go up to 6tph when 2tph of the Shenfield services are extended to Heathrow in May.

Went to Battersea yesterday to do the G1 (which I just found out the G stands for St George's Hospital. To be fair, there isn't an area that the G1 serves that has a G in it so it makes sense)
Walked to Wood Green Station Piccadilly line- Wood Green to Finsbury Park Victoria line- Finsbury Park to Vauxhall 2469 (156)- Vauxhall Bus Station to Prairie Street Walked to Shaftesbury Estate SE248 (G1)- Wickersley Road/Shaftesbury Estate to Hermitage lane T120- (250)- Hermitage Lane to Brixton Station Victoria line- Brixton to Finsbury Park Piccadilly line- Finsbury Park to Wood Green

Some free time yesterday so a Sunday morning end2end on the 31 that of course is a route under threat.
31 operated by Metroline (WJ) White City Bus Station-Camden Town Station VMH2546 / LA68 DXY / MCV EvoSeti Duration: 36 minutes Passenger Loading: Light throughout Temporary Traffic Lights: Adelaide Road (Chalk Farm)
Arrived at White City by Central Line and made the five minute walk south to the Bus Station. It was early, first light and pretty much deserted and I was the sole pax to board However, at Shepherd’s Bush Station four or five boarded and most stayed on board for the majority of the route. Leaving Shepherd’s Bush noted a ‘stray’ S based BYD Enviro 20EV MMC BE37081 operating the C1. Notting Hill was quiet save the McDonalds and from the upper deck, I could see 20+ diners enjoying their breakfast. Next landmark was Westbourne Park Garage and as you’d expect early on a Sunday it was pretty much packed. The most memorable part of my journey was travelling north on Kilburn Park Road, a long straight and fairly wide road and travelling towards the impressive architecture, particularly the tower and spire of Grade I listed St Augustine’s Church that I read dates back to 1870. At Kilburn Park Station a VMH operating the 32 was resting in the morning mist then time to travel just around 50 metres on the A5 before turning east Swiss Cottage and then Chalk Farm. Temporary traffic lights are such a part of London roads that just for the sake of it I’m going to mention them and I bet the temp lights in Adelaide Road are a nightmare on weekday rush-hours. I was aware that Tesco / Sainsbury’s / Asda all have stops that include their names but wasn’t aware that Morrisons have “Chalk Farm Road / Morrisons” (there are probably others) then a run in to Camden Town and some photos of the VMH on stand followed by breakfast in McDonald’s on Camden High Street. The route was fairly quiet throughout and after reading forum reports of the route in the week, glad to have avoided that!
