It's similar to V6 other than the new DRL layout, and the smaller front upper deck window/larger blind area.

Any new ideas on where these vehicles will end up? Can I just get it straight as well that the Daimler powered Gemini 3s are conventional diesels?

According to LOTS: As we closed for press, Wrightbus made known their naming policy for their new double deck body (i.e. as can be seen on Go-Ahead London V6). When fitted on the Volvo B5TL/B5LH chassis (diesel or hybrid), it is to be called a 'Gemini 3' (the world 'Eclipse' seems to have been dropped) but when on Wright's own integral chassis, it will be called a 'StreetDeck'. Both are being built to a standard 10.5m length. Unlike the VDL DB300/Gemini 2DL, the StreetDeck has a totally Wrightbus-built chassis as pioneered by the StreetLite & NBfL. Indeed, the chassis is virtually an NBfL look-alike ahead of the engine position but with a normal rear overhang making it 10.5m instead of the 11.3m of the NBfL. The StreetDeck, which replaces the Gemini 2DL, is to have a Mercedes-Benz OM934 4-cyclinder engine. 'marlon101' - this might be helpful to you

I'm a bit confused, am I right in saying that the Wright Streetdeck is the VDL version of the Wright Volvo Gemini 3?, like the second gen ones i.e the Volvo Gemini 2 and DB300 Gemini 2. Or is the Streetdeck just the conventional Volvo Gemini 3?, looks identical.

Ah ok figured so, thanks for clarifying. Strange, there aren't any exterior visual differences between the two that I know of. Unlike the second gens, i.e certain window shapes and positions.

rmz19, the StreetDeck will have a Daimler engine in, but aside from that will be same as the Volvo Gemini 3 (same silly squashed look of upper windows ). Same way the original Wright Pulsar (DW /DB250) and Wright Gemini (Volvo B7TL) had very similar looks

The upper front windscreen is a bit high though, makes you feel like you're sitting on the floor. Thanks for the info

Way to resurrect an old thread Brighton & Hove's StreetDecks are now in service... www.route-one.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Debut-StreetDecks-enter-service.jpgThey don't look bad in green - let's see what London United's ones look like when they arrive (apparently on order, but B5LH's rather than Daimler) Gemini 3 will look like this now, only the pre-production demonstrators were of the old design

Hope there are more order for London.
