A tricky one for sure. I wonder if such an idea for the 102 could be revisited along with other routes if it becomes further more unbearable traffic wise. Say if enough stand space at Muswell Hill.

I don't ever think stand space would be freed up in Muswell Hill. The 144, 299 and W7 can all barely fit as is, and the Alexandra Park stand at the bottom of Muswell Hill would not have enough space to accommodate the split 102.

It would probably have to be in line with a restructuring of another route (cue the speculation...) but I don't think any route passing through Muswell Hill would be adequate to take on say the Muswell Hill to Edmonton Green section owing to the amount of traffic along Durnsford Road. The more simple, and slightly less controversial way of solving this would be either having a 102 from Brent Cross to Bounds Green (subject to stand space of course) with a 402 from Muswell Hill to Edmonton Green or a 102 from Golders Green to Edmonton Green and a 402 from Muswell Hill to Brent Cross. The second option would be the most preferable owing to how busy the 102 is between Golders Green and East Finchley however there would not be adequate stand space at Golders Green, and the 102 doesn't get busy enough to warrant an entire second route down that section. Perhaps a more reliable and more evenly spaced out 102 service would solve the issues relating to overcrowding.

Now that I have an idea of how many routes I've done (it's easy to lose count. Its 263 btw), I've decided to try and make it 300 routes by the end of the year. It is doable; whether i make it or not is the question.

So folks I'm thinking of doing a historical End to End route rather than the standard ones we see on today's buses.

These examples include South Croydon to Willesden Junction (Route 12), Peckham to Hounslow (Route 37) Bow Church to Willesden Bus Garage (Route 8). So it would basically be me doing the route as it is now and getting on the route that was created from when the original route was truncated or an existing route that follows near enough the same roads to reach the last point

I thinking for some time like from Streatham to West Hampstead using 159 and 139, Watford Junction to Kilburn Park using 32 and 142 and Camden Town to Roehampton using 274 74 and 340
