Bits have changed in this pic - the railings on the pavement & central reservation were removed in the early 00's along with the 1970's built white & blue lampposts. The building to the right of the bus is my workplace, Iceland and the buildings on the right before the high bridge were replaced in the early 00's too. The bus stop that the bus is trying to stop at also went in the early 00's & only served the 2, 196 & N2. Trip down memory lane now over lool.

I've taken piccies in Brixton a few times over the years. Only had hassle once when I was accused of being a police spy by some loony left campaigner back in the days of "Red Ted Knight" running Lambeth. Having a camera meant I was a spy cop!

There is a noticeable difference to how things looks back then, compared to things are now. Makes me wish that I could go back in time! I like how the first two pictures has a sign simply showing the word BUS, plastered on the bottom of those buses Intrigued as to the 196 parked up in the middle of the road to pick up passengers, but I shouldn't be surprised as its in Brixton (sorry vjaska) The Cityrama does bring back a few memories, as well as the yellow Capital Citybuses when they made they way onto the route 60. They certainty opened my eyes a bit on what the industry is really about. I never heard of London Suburban Bus until now
