210 to Edgware via Hendon magistrates court it will improve links as there is no direct link from finsbury park/Highgate to Edgware Btw it will still serve Brent Cross Shopping Centre This extension will also save money for people commuting to Finsbury Park from Edgware Do you mean going up the Edgware Road from Brent Cross? If there is any demand from Edgware to Finsbury Park (not sure if there is?) I would have thought maybe an extension on 221 from TL to FPark might be better? The 221 is already long enough as it is without lumping on another substantial section as well.

If it had to have an extension I'd send it to West Hendon Broadway, Perryfield Crescent or wait until Brent Cross West Station is open. There is the 142 for the link beyond Brent Cross to Edgware and there is the hopper.

I dont know if it should go to Tottenham Court Road however, might become a bit too long espeicially with congestion, i’d have it go to Oxford Circus and leave it there. Also, this probably won’t be agreed by other people but i’ve always thought of rerouting the N18 between Baker Street and Oxford Circus via Portman Square aswell, its quicker and during night there usually shouldnt be any people around at Great Portland Street and Regent’s Park Station, its just houses and offices there although it looks busy. People can always use the 88/453 instead, and could cope without the N18. Furthermore, night service on Portman Square might be overbussed, but only the 139, N18 and N113 would go to Oxford with the remaining to Park Lane.

Reroute the 6 or 98 to serve where the route 10 used to serve(British Museum/Russel Square) and extend it to Kings Cross

Reroute the 6 or 98 to serve where the route 10 used to serve(British Museum/Russel Square) and extend it to Kings Cross But the 14 already serves the British Museum and Russell Square. I extremely doubt that the section there could justify an additional service, especially at such enormous expenditure of more than £1 million per annum for the routes (6/98) you mention. Nor is there likely to be any additional layover space in the King's Cross area.

Don’t know what people think of this one, but you could extend the 255 to Thornton Heath Pond/bus garage via the 60 route, as it goes that way anyway to return to TH, or have the buses that are due back at the garage just carry on in service to the Garage and vice versa when they leave the garage to go back to Pollards Hill?
Also does anyone know why the first 255 of the day only goes to Streatham Hill station?

Meddling with the 98 is not a good idea as the route provides a very valuable link all the way down Oxford Street and on to Holborn which would be lost if the route rerouted to Russell Square. In addition, as TB123 nentions, there is hardly demand to justify another service on Great Russell Street.

The 98 isn't particularly well used much as it sounds quite honestly to the east of Marble Arch. The only issue is that it's vital for now providing same stop interchange with the 8 to keep the link from the City to Oxford Circus going. I think it would be a good route to reroute to Russell Square on the grounds the 8 is extended to Oxford Circus.

Also does anyone know why the first 255 of the day only goes to Streatham Hill station? You would be merely duplicating the 60 between Rowan Road & Thornton Heath Pond especially since it’s had a frequency increase not long ago despite being a busy route. From memory, residents along the new section of route between Thornton Road & Balham High Road raised issues about buses in the late evenings and the compromise was to terminate the first & last buses at Streatham Hill.

Also does anyone know why the first 255 of the day only goes to Streatham Hill station? Live garage journeys like that were discontinued long ago, they often caused confusion and of course if the 255 were to move to another operator or garage in the future they would have to be discontinued and the 60 is adequate over that section. I don't know why the first journey only goes to Streatham Hill Station, does seem a bit odd.
