Extend the 123 by diverting at South Woodford along the North Circular to the A10 and up via the M25 to Potters Bar via St Albans. Pave over along the old 123 route so Snoggle has to walk Aren't TFL buses in service not allowed on motorways? I don't know any route that goes on a motorway The x26 has been diverted before via the M25 and the light running from MB to Swanley is via M25 plus the 132 goes on the A102M.

They should do buses like those used for Duck Tours so we can get to France and the rest of Europe on our Oyster Cards! Bring back cheap booze - hell yeah I'm starting to regret making this thread....along with this profile...

RM5chris, can we put this thread out of its misery pls? We (the Mods/Admin) have to be fair to all members - new and those whom are established - new people will want to discuss things that those (like us) who have been here a while will have already done so in the past. New members have a righto create threads etc but(as I mentioned in MSG earlier in the thread) I could quickly see how this was heading and added the 'fantasy' to the title. I think that makes it clear what a reader may find within! That said, downright silliness, spamming etc will quickly result in edits and thread locking. @rockorange - some good advice has been given to you above by our members - as a new member you should read through previous posts and remember quality not quantity.

166 to Chessington via. Leatherhead and making the bits beyond Banstead more frequent and run at nights. You do know that the 166 journeys beyond Banstead are funded by Surrey County Council? Considering council budgets have been slashed over the last few years, I'd be extremely surprised if that was sanctioned.

I agree with the 434 and 466, but X26 shouldn't be extended to Purley, I don't think, 434 could be extended to Redhill via Caterham on the Hill and Chaldon Cannot for the life of me why everyone seems to want all routes extended to Caterham station? It is already served by a regular route. Has anyone actually had the common sense to think WHERE these buses are going to stand??? Evidently not The 466 would be useful but as you mention, stand space is an issue - personally, the 434 is fine as it is, from my observations, it hardly carries much between Purley & Whyteleaf though I'm not a regular on the route.

Rockorange
The London bus Forum welcomes everyone, we are a friendly bunch. There is a mixture of young and old, experienced, enthusiast and interesting people. New members, such as yourself are always welcome and indeed new ideas are welcome to provide different views about things.
One thing you will have noticed is that as good an idea might seem, it needs to be realistic and not to the point of being nonsensical. You will notice that this has been the response to many of your suggestions.
My advice to you is to read through the thread discussions, and contribute to them rather than start new threads, at least in the beginning until you have established yourself as a member and got an idea of what is useful.
Being an enthusiast as opposed to an (ex) employee does mean that you will have less knowledge of what works and what doesn't in terms of route ideas and bus types. But reading and learning from those established members who have lots of experience and knowledge between them will help you become a better member.
If I'm being honest you have launched yourself at 100mph into the forum with random ideas that clearly have been thought out enthusiastically rather than realistically.
I look forward to you becoming an established member and I welcome you on board. But please take the advice I and others give you and you will learn to enjoy the forum.
Thanks
Dom

Thanks Dom Thank you and I apologize to all of you. No need to apologise. Just take the advice and you will be fine. If you choose otherwise, you may find it difficult to enjoy the forum for which you joined. I apologise for my rather rude responses earlier, but I, like many others were slightly irritated by some of your posts and I responded incorrectly and decided to put my concerns in a better way in the above statement.

In the mornings, if the trains aren't working, the route would be packed,as it goes past ALL stations between Purley and Caterham. thats why i thought of a Caterham Station Extension for it whereas the 407 goes past 2 (Whyteleafe south and Caterham)

If we are all driving into the the world of fantasy, why don't we let TFL takeover Green Line Coaches routes and let is go on our oyster to Legoland? ;-) but on a serious note would a TFL takeover of the commuter coach service be a good idea?
