Route 172, soon to be curtailed at Aldwych, could be extended to Tottenham Court Road via route 1. Route 1 could be diverted at Aldwych to Tottenham Hale then extended to Meridian Water, with an NP allocation added. Route 76 could be withdrawn. This would lead to route 1 linking Canada Water and Meridian Water, so 2 destinations ending in Water.

This would lead to route 1 linking Canada Water and Meridian Water, so 2 destinations ending in Water. This is the best ever justification for a new route đ

This is the best ever justification for a new route đ On that note: To lead to better links post hackback of 25, would divert 76 at bank so it goes to TCR. Then we can have a route running from Tottenham Court Road to Tottenham Hale Would also curtail the 341 at Islington angel so that it runs from Islington angel to angel road superstores Finally, would curtail one of 381 / c10 so that we have a route from Canada Water to Waterloo

Haha. What about Forest Hill to Forest Gate Post Silvertown Tunnel completion that is possibly not an entirely fanciful suggestion. Potential for some new and different links both north and south of the Thames on such a route.

This used to be an existing route but I wonder if the 436 could have been curtailed at Hilton park lane instead of being sent to battersea. Then we would have had a route from Lewisham to Hilton park lane. Would have never been slow for sure!!!

I would extend the X26 at the western end non-stop to Hayes & Harlington Station and at the eastern end non-stop to Hayes Station. In true TfL style, buses would be plainly blinded for âHAYESâ in both directions. Buses will not stand at the eastern Hayes and drivers will be expected to changeover eastbound at Croydon for a rest and a pee. If it means we can have a bus running from Hayes to Hayes without being a circular then itâs all entirely justified ;-)
