N551 Permanently re-routed between Tower Gateway and Bank via Minories, Aldgate Bus Station (return direct), Aldgate High Street, Middlesex Street, St Botolph Street, Duke's Place, Bevis Marks (return Houndsditch), Camomile Street, Wormwood Street, Old Broad Street and Threadneedle Street. New timetable to improve punctuality. PVR changed to 8. (270416)ΒΆ 1 May 16 A very long winded and strange rerouting. There is no turn from Leadenhall Street into Minories but still. It should really be consulted by law at least considering how different it is; I don't about you guys but I knew nothing about it. To be fair there was a consultation in 2014 about the Aldgate changes and the effects on bus services. The N551 is the route with the greatest level of changes because of the banned turns in the new Aldgate traffic system. consultations.tfl.gov.uk/buses/aldgate

For Cr Sake, looking at londonbusroutes.net and seeing all the frequency changes to routes in Leyton at the moment, I am starting to worry about getting from A to B in the future. Of course it is due to the, famous for the wrong reasons, Mini-Holland cycling works scheme. I struggle to find information about the exact changes in Leyton which makes me even more annoyed, you have:
56: Reduced from every 6-7 mins to every 7 mins 58: Temporary Timetable 69: Reduced from every 8 mins to every 8-9 mins 97: Reduced from every 8 mins to every 8-8 mins 158: Reduced from every 10 mins to every 10-11 mins 257: Monday to Saturday reduced from every 7-8 mins to every 8-9 mins W16: Reduced from every 12 mins to every 13 mins W19: Temporary timetable
This is without saying the amount of potential traffic people in the area are going to put up with!

Grrrrrr - I see that TfL have sneakily rerouted the 123 (towards Ilford) and 144 (towards Edmonton) from serving Turnpike Lane bus station as from 24 April 2016. I only found out by looking on the bleepin' TfL Digital Blog. This is outrageous and breaks an extremely convenient interchange / emergency route home. Right time for a Mayor's Question to find out what the heck is going on and why there has been no public announcement at all. I recon that is as annoying as route 97 not serving Walthamstow Bus Station

Quite by accident I fell across these new weekly update posts on the TfL Digital Blog. They include startlingly detailed listings of bus route, timetable and stop changes so that App Developers can know what is changing within the TfL API so they need to update their Apps. blog.tfl.gov.uk/2016/05/13/tfl-journey-planner-updates-may-13/#more-2444Interesting that TfL have scrapped Hail and Ride on part of the 234 despite promising to consult about changes to stops. Also noteworthy that the R5 is gaining a load of extra I-Bus "timing" points for virtual stops. Meanwhile TfL can't be *rsed to update the Bus Service Change document. Pathetic.

They haven't updated the Bus Arrivals API documentation either. It's no big deal really, but I had to alter some of the examples they've provided

So Hammersmith Bridge is gradually giving up. 283 to be withdrawn between Hammersmith and Barnes and the short workings on 72 to stop at Lonsdale Rd.
I think authorities need to crack on and get it properly fixed.
How much money has been wasted on these temporary fixes in the past ??
The 33 & 209 are going to be rammed.

I agree, it needs to be rebuilt from top & bottom rather than wasting money on patches. I know they have to preserve the bridge as to how it is due to it being listed but surely, they could rebuild it and meet the requirements for a listed structure?

I see a new 235 timetable is shown on londonbusroutes.net that marginally reduces peak frequencies and which also has the terminal point of our favourite block of posh flats blanked out. Does this mean TfL have temporarily given up running the 235 beyond Brentford County Court?

Oh dear - where will the 33 and 209 be diverted to? Will the 419 and 485 be curtailed to Lonsdale Road or follow a diversion to Hammersmith? The 72 short workings won't be of too much use - I'd imagine people would want to get to Hammersmith. This can't really afford any delays anymore - if only it was fixed this year.

Looks like I'll never get that one ticked off - already done Brentford, County Court to Sunbury Village when the barrier was broken earlier this year.

Also noteworthy that the R5 is gaining a load of extra I-Bus "timing" points for virtual stops I'm reliably informed that iBus now announces these new timing points along with a 'Hail and Ride' message. Previously there was nothing from iBus to suggest the R5/R10 was Hail and Ride and the only announcements made were for the handful of fixed stops in Halstead and Knockholt Pound Whilst it now appears iBus won't shut up when we're going around the loop, it can only be a good thing for punters unfamiliar with the route and we get more of them than you might expect
