Originally it was going to be Fairfield Halls with the 197 but with the 250 vacating but the 75 staying and the 50 added I guess there wasn't room for the 433 aswell. Would have been ideal for the current 264 stand as per the original proposals ... but as previously said it is not the greatest of stands.

Well on paper the 216 can also take deckers, but its a shame in practice they're banned. I hope some double deckers at FW get fitted with 411 blinds the route needs them For some reason, AV have 411 on their blinds.

For some reason, AV have 411 on their blinds. All of them? I think I saw an SP blinded for it. Not seen any other buses displaying it though. Buses running light from Kingston usually display anything and everything. I’ve seen N97, 27, 9, N9, H32, 411, 81, 120 and 222 running through Kingston over the past few years.

I’ve seen N97, 27, 9, N9, H32, 411, 81, 120 and 222 running through Kingston over the past few years. Traditionally, AV and HH blinds included all routes from both garages (minus the H37, which depended on whether the blind was ordered for single deckers or double deckers). As the 411 and 641 were HH routes, they were included. Therefore the 2010 or older SP blinds have: 9, N9, H22, 27, H32, 81, H91, N97, H98, 110, 111, 116, 120, 203, 216, 222, 281, 285, 411, 423, 482, 641, 681, 696, 697 and 698. The 2012 blinds that came with the ADEs missed out the 411 and 641, but everything else was there. They also have "120 Hounslow, Blenheim Centre" on the blinds. A few SPs now have these blinds, e.g. the 59-reg and SP40176. Blinds ordered for single deckers also included the H37. In comparison, the 2015 HH blinds have: H22, 81, H91, 116, 203, 216, 285, 423, 482, 635, 696, 697 and 698 (plus now 105 as insert).

Actually the 197 may pick up at the Fairfield Halls stop on the opposite side of the road where the 119/154/466 stop to give common stops to East Croydon. I think it may? even pick up there now or I'm sure it did recently. The 197 already stops at the 119/312 stop and would do so even if it ran the way the 250 currently does except serving Katherine Street first as it did when it terminated at Katherine Street. The original point I was making is the 75 stops at both Fairfield Halls stops and has done so for years but yet the 250 has always been excluded and likely the 197 will follow suit as the first 75 stop is the southbound 154/403 stop and then stops at the northbound stop opposite. I think the 197 is unchanged from what it does at the moment with its first stop being Fairfield Halls (the stop shared with 119/312/466).

I mean, who would want to celebrate a Birthday on a rattly worn out DE?

I wonder if they have the Happy Birthday! blind present on older DEs. I mean, who would want to celebrate a Birthday on a rattly worn out DE? RATP probably would give a knackered DE to someone who loaned it, they seem to give knackered, sluggish SPs for bookings a lot.

Did the Croydon changes result in any PVR cuts?

Did the Croydon changes result in any PVR cuts? -1 for the 250 and a disputed, unconfirmed -1 cut for the 264 - all other routes remained with their existing PVR's.

I mean, who would want to celebrate a Birthday on a rattly worn out DE? RATP probably would give a knackered DE to someone who loaned it, they seem to give knackered, sluggish SPs for bookings a lot. Which "knackered, sluggish SPs"? The 59-reg onwards ones have always been programmed with lower acceleration since brand new and have been in service for up to 10 years now, so everyone should be well used to them (except SP40165 which is programmed differently). And except SP40113 they're also refurbished within the last 5½ years so the seat padding is still good on them. If you're talking about the ones up to 09-reg, they have standard acceleration (ignoring individual poor buses) and if they still feel slow then I'm afraid that expectations need to be changed as you can't expect a standard bus to have supercar acceleration. For the interiors I know many of the 08-reg ones have needed TLC for ages but the 58-reg and 09-reg are refurbished. Top speeds for most SPs are around 40mph which again is normal across London operators, although there are a lucky few that can manage to go to higher speeds. Also remember that SPs make up over 40% of the double deck fleet, so there is a good chance that someone is going to get a SP for private hire. The big windows make them excellent for that purpose as well.

SPs now only 31% of RATP double deck fleet I think there are 162 remaining SPs out of about 523 double decks Approx 80 ADE, 97 ADH, 178 VH, 6 VHR Probably few more SPs will go once the new electric deckers enter service
