Sorry what's this got to do with bus changes? It has spun off from a comment in another post and has gained its own momentum. It happens.

Was given wrong information about route 266, it will indeed be terminating at Acton Town Hall. As a result from 05:00 on 7/12 route 427 will be terminating at King Street (by Morrison’s), then will turn left Market Place to stand at stands M, Z2 & Z3 on Horn Lane. On departure buses will turn left Steyne Road, right High Street LOR. This routing is valid until at least 31 March 2020.

I’m hoping there’s a trick up the sleeve and they’re just waiting for the 427 cut to take place before hopefully (and logically) sending the 306 to Acton High Street! Enough time to get the extra couple of buses instead of panic cutting the 18 to facilitate the new route 🧐 Sorry what's this got to do with bus changes? It has spun off from a comment in another post and has gained its own momentum. It happens. If this was DistrictDave there would be countless messages here about threads going off topic 😛😛😛

I am informed that 306 will be using Bromyard Avenue. Just so all routes connect up in Acton, not.

Wouldn’t it be better for the. 306 to use the Horn Lane stand, and the 427 the Bromyard Avenue stand and the 266 Old Town Hall. Is there actually a stop on Uxbridge Road eastbound the 266 and 306 share ?

So the 306 hardly serves Uxbridge Road/Acton Vale at all. Those single deckers on route 218 will be busy! 266 and 306 do not overlap at all.

Would have been better if the 218/306 were to simply be merged as one route, North Acton to Fulham via the 266 to Hammersmith, with the 440 retaining its current routeing via West Acton.

The 207 is already overcrowded on that section, I can see it getting hammered when the changes take effect, just a great thing that someone gave the 207 a frequency cut, not!

Whereas ironically I don't think Askew Road needed a freq increase. The 8-10 min 266 was enough except that it was unreliable. Now there will be a freq boost of Askew Road but a decrease in capacity for Hammersmith to Acton.

Seems hard to believe that soon the 607 will be the only Metroline route in Acton

Seems hard to believe that soon the 607 will be the only Metroline route in Acton Depends what you class as ‘Acton’ really lol, it’s a big place having North, East, West, South and Central Acton stations lol. If you class the 7 running to East Acton as ‘Acton’ then I guess you can class that one too

When I think of Acton I think of Acton High Street, as that to me is really the centre of Acton but of course as you rightly say, there are many stations which contain Acton in their name. I don't really class East Acton Station as Acton at all but that's another story enitrely.
