A bus stand has just recently been marked in the road on Yarnton Way near the junction with Harrow Manor Way. Could it be that the long planned curtailment of route B11 is imminent?

Tfl Bus changes has been updated From 5th July (2 days after new contract starts), route 65 gets a frequency increase weekday am peak From Monday 5 July we will be running more buses towards Kingston from Ealing Broadway on route 65 in the AM Peak on Monday to Fridays. Buses will be timed to pass Richmond Station every 5 minutes towards Kingston between 0730 and 0830 instead of the current 6-minute service that we provide at this time. There will be no change to the route or stops on route 65 and buses will continue to run every 6 minutes during the daytime and PM peak in both directions on Monday to Fridays as well as in the AM peak towards Ealing Broadway. On Saturdays buses will continue to run every 6 minutes during the daytime. The daytime service on Sundays and during the evening on all days of the week will continue to run at a frequency of a bus every 10 minutes. Route N65 will continue to provide a bus service every 30 minutes on every night of the week between Ealing Broadway, Kingston and Chessington serving all bus stops used by routes 65 and 71. tfl.gov.uk/modes/buses/bus-changesUnless I am misreading this it means weekdays 07:30 - 08:30 will be 12 buses per hour heading southbound, but only 10 per hour heading northbound, so presumably extra buses will need to be sent empty to Ealing The 65 is a lucky route! It’s a very busy route that has a lot of school demand and virtually no support from any other routes - asides from short stretches in Richmond and Brentford town centres, it almost entirely runs along corridors by itself.

I'm wondering if those 2 extra peak journeys will operate off another route or whether 2 existing hybrids will for the allocation.

The 697's expected PVR decrease from 4 to 3 as per it's new contract in September will be brought forward to this Monday with the first and last journey's withdrawn - www.londonbusroutes.net/changes.htm#98

It could just be that the 406/418 timetables are being split a bit more. I was under the impression that they formed a joint PVR with buses entering Kingston as one and leaving as the other, perhaps that practice is ending to allow for better flows on one than the other.

It partly assisted with driver changeovers as a 406 could change into a 418 which passed EB. Now they're are at Tolworth then both can do live changeovers so standalone schedules could be on the cards.

The 533 now runs express between Hammersmith Bridge Road and Mortlake and no longer serves the upper bus station.

The 533 is for the residents of Mortlake and Barnes who've been impacted by the bridge, many Chiswick passengers used the 533 as it's obviously quicker to get to Hammersmith which caused overcrowding. This will improve reliability whilst continuing to serve its primary function

With the 27 vacating the old Morrisons site next weekend, and Londonbusroutes.net confirming it will still serve Chalk Farm and not be cut back to Camden, where will its new stand arrangements be? I was thinking Harmood Street (which can fit an LT) and Ferdinand Street but that involves a clearly impossible left turn. You'd have to continue to Haverstock Hill which is all too long as a stand arrangement.

A bus stand has just recently been marked in the road on Yarnton Way near the junction with Harrow Manor Way. Could it be that the long planned curtailment of route B11 is imminent? Looks like stand space for 1 bus, so most likely for the B11. However there have been plenty of cases where road markings for bus stops and stands have been in place long before they are used.

Really? I'm planning on going on the B11 on the 22nd, so this surprised me!
