281 extension / diversion to Tolworth Station is out for consultation. The effect would be minimal. It would cease to serve the Ewell Road loop (terminal stop, stand and first northbound stop) but extend via the roundabout, Hook Rise and a new link road to stand adjacent to Tolworth station and some new homes. It then returns straight across the roundabout stopping where all the other northbound buses do which makes sense. Quite a sensible change in my opinion and one which more or less restores (and improvs upon) the old link from when peak-hour 281s ran to Chessington Industrial Estate via Tolworth station. No mention is made of any change to headway. None would be needed using the current PVR but an uplift from 10bph to 12bph would alleviate the current overcrowding which occurs at many times of day notably into and out of Hounslow and Kingston.

There's already a thread I created for this. It's on the consultations thread.

From TfL bus changes page:Presumably this is because the S1 is moving from C to GM.

From TfL bus changes page:Presumably this is because the S1 is moving from C to GM. In addition, as a result of this move, route S1 will now be under the London General subsidiary of Go-Ahead London as Goat Road is a London General garage while Croydon is a Metrobus garage. All in theory I must add.

From TfL bus changes page: 15 minutes all day from first to last bus is imho too much. Peaks and day yes every 15 minutes but until the last bus, really TfL!? It should remain every 30 minutes after like 8pm. Mark my words give it six months and the 213 and 407 will both drop on frequency.

From TfL bus changes page: What a random change to the 26 which will do nothing but inconvenience people.

Every 12 mins all evening up until last bus and all say Sunday. I know it's partly lost the 427 but I think that's a bit frequent.

From TfL bus changes page: What a random change to the 26 which will do nothing but inconvenience people. It will, however, decrease running time on the terminus routing, with a simple loop around Vauxhall Bridge Road and Wilton Street. I still think the Grosvenor Gardens 44 stand is best suited to the 26, with the 44 moving to Vauxhall Bridge Road.
