281 extension / diversion to Tolworth Station is out for consultation. The effect would be minimal. It would cease to serve the Ewell Road loop (terminal stop, stand and first northbound stop) but extend via the roundabout, Hook Rise and a new link road to stand adjacent to Tolworth station and some new homes. It then returns straight across the roundabout stopping where all the other northbound buses do which makes sense. Quite a sensible change in my opinion and one which more or less restores (and improvs upon) the old link from when peak-hour 281s ran to Chessington Industrial Estate via Tolworth station. No mention is made of any change to headway. None would be needed using the current PVR but an uplift from 10bph to 12bph would alleviate the current overcrowding which occurs at many times of day notably into and out of Hounslow and Kingston. Did you mean that the combined frequency of the 281, 406 and 418 into Kingston from Tolworth gives 10bph? It’s actually 12bph at present. The previous reduction in frequency of the 281 to 6bph never seemed like a good idea, interesting that there are now problems with overcrowding into both Hounslow and Kingston.

Get ready for a cut to the 207, it’s coming. I wouldn't be surprised if both the 207 and 427 drop to every 10 and 12 mins respectively. I’d be very very surprised to see a 40% frequency reduction to the 207 when the route is rammed as it is. I think Uxbridge road is crying out for more capacity especially since the 427 cut so I think the 207 will still be just as busy

From TfL bus changes page: Personally, they moved the wrong route out of West Croydon Bus Station - they could of moved the 250 to Wellesley Road and left the 367 finishing on St Michael's Road meaning no one is inconvenienced at all especially as currently, the 250 has to run to the bus station to alight, then run around to stand so would cut down some of that time by simply alighting on Poplar Walk where almost everyone will get off and then run light around the corner to Wellesley Road

Whilst we are discussing the x26 it looks like work has started to tart up the stops on route. The Fountain Roundabout stop towards Sutton had workmen on site today painting the shelter and doing some minor repairs.

15 minutes all day from first to last bus is imho too much. Peaks and day yes every 15 minutes but until the last bus, really TfL!? It should remain every 30 minutes after like 8pm. Mark my words give it six months and the 213 and 407 will both drop on frequency. Same with the SL8 (607). Every 12 mins all evening up until last bus and all say Sunday. I know it's partly lost the 427 but I think that's a bit frequent. The increase in frequency of the SL8 in the evenings is welcome, buses departing Shepherds Bush Station for the Uxbridge Road corridor are always busy in the evenings due to Westfield opening late and passengers transferring from the Central Line and to a lesser extent the Overground. The scrum to get on is very unfair on the elderly, wheelchair users and those with buggies.

What a random change to the 26 which will do nothing but inconvenience people. It will, however, decrease running time on the terminus routing, with a simple loop around Vauxhall Bridge Road and Wilton Street. I still think the Grosvenor Gardens 44 stand is best suited to the 26, with the 44 moving to Vauxhall Bridge Road. My 26 terminated at bus stop M the other day which confused me.

With the 79 and 83 changes, maybe it would make more sense for 79 to be run from RP instead of 258

I was wondering that so I looked at the most recent tender specs on the buses at work website which are some years out of date but they suggest the old X26 stand south of Poplar Walk was able to accomodate two buses and looking at the current stand on Google Maps, that looks to still be the case. The 250's tender spec suggests no more than two 250's to stand at the bus station at any time so in theory, if all this still holds true, the 250 should be able to stand on Wellesley Road without too much issue

Map linked on the bus changes page for the 79 and 83 doesn't work
With regards to the 26, I assume Bus Stop U wouldn't be possible as it would mean cutting across two lanes of traffic (though the 24 does just that!)? Victoria in general needs a bit of a shakeup: stop R for instance is very unpleasant and its narrow sidewalk not adapted to the large amounts of passengers that can accumulate there, especially on busy shopping days. Would also be very nice if they (who owns the place?) could reopen the arcade at the closed (?) tube station entrance for easy access between the bus station and the stop on Victoria Street.

Only been a few hours and there's more updates to the TfL bus changes page: Frequency increases on Sundays and in the evenings makes a nice change. Are the 86 and 141 crowded at these times?

Only been a few hours and there's more updates to the TfL bus changes page: Delighted to see the 123 finally getting a full 24 hours service that's certainly long overdue and fixed the missing Outer North/East London night link and I'm sure our late Snoggle will be pleased with that. 158 is another busy route in the day so I think it will do well in the nights too. The increased Sunday service on the 86 is a nice bonus to see.
