Victoria Bus Station Closure From 07:00 on Monday 13th November 2023 to 17:00 Friday 29th December 2023, Victoria Bus Station will be closed due to works. Routes 3, 38/N38, 52 & 390 will be diverted away from Victoria Bus Station during this period. From the info uploaded so far on the bus status page: 38/N38, 390 first stop will be bus stop Q, Grovesnor Garden (existing stop on the route) 3 will be starting on Wilton Road at stop H just around the corner, much nicer for passengers 52 diverted via "Bressenden Place, missing stops Buckingham Palace Road / Bressenden Place (P) and Victoria Bus Station (A)". In simpler terms, first stop Grovesnor Garden (stop Q)?
Any idea what the works are for? Is the bus station changing in any manner?

Suspected that was the reason with the recent court case. Although that was a freak incident the pedestrians crossing in front of buses has always been a safety concern.

With 10 days to go until route 211 is rerouted to Battersea Power Station, it is really odd that TFL have not highlighted the change on their Bus Changes website. It is a significant change which passengers deserve some notice before it happens.

Still, they should be notices at bus stops for passengers informing them about the change at the bare minimum.

How do you know there isn’t a scrolling message on the iBus screens? If there was an iBus display at every stop, this could be an acceptable argument, but there isn't, so falls flat on its face. No display, you would not get to see the message.

The swap of routes / terminals between R68 and R70 was not advertised on bus stops until around a day or so after it took place. There were no iBus broadcasts that I heard. A good many passengers were seriously confused and irritated for the first few days. TfL seem to have lost the plot when it comes to notifying service changes. LT was once a world leader in such things. Times change, people change but standards should not be allowed to slip to this extent in London of all places.

Yeah, that seems likely. I used route 211 again today from Hammersmith Bus Station to Victoria. There were yellow notices at some of the bus stops that route 211 serves in Fulham. Can’t be sure those notices were about route 211 though. No messages about the change on iBus either. At Victoria, the yellow notices about the Victoria Bus Station closure have been put up at the relevant bus stops.

Times change, people change but standards should not be allowed to slip to this extent in London of all places. The Richmond changes were ‘temporary’, therefore TfL could let itself off the hook on a technicality about a lack of prior consultation and notification. It was still appalling treatment of passengers, given that they knew in advance and didn’t publicise it. However these would be permanent changes that have been through a consultation process and it would be a new low if there is no advance publicity about them.

Change to route 339 - 18 November 2023 From Saturday 18 November route 339 will be rerouted in the Fish Island area of East London to serve new residential and commercial areas currently remote from the bus network.
Route 339 will continue to run between Leytonstone and Shadwell but will be rerouted in both directions between Marshgate Lane after the Bobby Moore Primary Academy bus stops and Wick Lane via Bassett Lane, Monier Bridge and Monier Road. Route 339 will no longer serve bus stops D and F on White Post Lane, stop C on Rothbury Road or stops E and OH on Wick Lane. New bus stops will be in place along Monier Road as well as on the eastern side of Monier Bridge.
---------------------------
Delayed by two years while they built a new road bridge in the Olympic Park, and delayed by another two years while they built an access road.
It's a shame they are not bothering with a map There is now a map.

Email from TfL regarding the introduction of the SL10:
From Saturday 25 November, the new express bus route SL10 will be introduced between Harrow and North Finchley.
The new route will operate alongside part of the existing route 183 between Harrow and Hendon, and part of route 125 between Hendon and North Finchley. It will run every 12 minutes Monday to Saturday, and every 15 minutes during evenings and Sundays.
Buses on this route will be fully electric, double deck vehicles with USB charging points.
The route would form part of the Superloop, a proposed network of express bus routes that would circle the entire capital, improve journey times and provide better transport connectivity in outer London.
Route SL10 will allow customers to connect with nearly 40 bus routes across north and northwest London, as well as rail services at Harrow-on-the-Hill, Kenton, Northwick Park, Kingsbury, Hendon, Hendon Central and Finchley Central.
It will also connect with new express bus route SL1 at North Finchley, which launches shortly, and also allow interchange with SL9 at Harrow Bus Station.
