Just listening to a few tunes. Bringing back my youth, when things were easier being a kid in this world. Best listened to with headphones with bass or decent speakers and a glass of drink, lol The music in this George Micheal hit is amazing (and the girls in the video lol) Just love this, the music, guitars, drums, synthesizers etc. Just listening to this tune from the Clash, reminds me of the 80's and Leyland Titan's. memories ... This was spurred on by the ad for some BBC program, years I have not heard this Just love the music in this, RIP jermaine Stewart Teardrops, ahhhh.. Ok that is my five for the night!

I like the The Clash even though that genre of music is not normally my cup of tea - Should I Stay or Should I Go & London Calling are classics. They also have a direct link with Brixton with a band member having grown up there and even wrote a song about the area which captured the mood of the people leading up to the riots before the riots actually took place.

"London Calling" is a classic album and yes big Brixton links including the track "The Guns of Brixton" - one bit of music trivia is that the iconic album cover including the colours and font used are a tribute to Elvis Presley's eponymous 1956 debut album.

Rock the Casbah is probably my favourite The Clash song. It's also sung by Algerian singer Rachid Taha www.youtube.com/watch?v=02Sg9H2T_TQI'm quite a fan of ABBA Money, Money, Money www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETxmCCsMoD0Mamma Mia www.youtube.com/watch?v=unfzfe8f9NIGimme Gimme Gimme (a man after midnight) www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEjLoHdbVeE

Everyone had their 'band' and growing up mine was Ultravox. As much as I still like them, probably my most listened to track from the early 80s these days is Midge Ure's side project Visage and their eponymous single. Got to love 80s fashions! Would love to have gone to Blitz, but was only 12 when it closed! ðŸ˜
Late 80's my favourite was Transvision Vamp. Always best when played with the video, and this one just crept into the 90's and far from my favourite single, but I will happily watch Wendy James in this video until my tablet breaks!
There was loads in-between through my school years that I still love to this day.

Excellent choices, glad I’m not the only one who likes Jermaine Stewart! He does bare an uncanny resemblance to Candace Owens though 😂 Another favourite of mine from the 80s is Alexander O’Neal. Anyone remember him?

Not sure on if anyone remembers Anastacia although she is an excellent R&B/soul/pop rock singer, she interlopes different music styles throughout the tracks in her albums and is generally an excellent artist to listen to. By far one of the more underrated artists of the 00s

Speaking about Music. I still can't believe Thursday was 28 years ago when the music awards happened in America and Suge Knight did that infamous speech. That night was a hostile environment with P Diddy's Bad Boys entourage and Suge Knight with Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg with Death Row. youtu.be/mv2OMXngkEs

What songs has Puff Daddy ever made a good contribution to? I’ll Be Missing You is probably the only example of that, but it was all ghostwritten and should have been rapped by another Bad Boy rapper TBH. I think Puff Daddy was trying to get a piece of what Biggie had. I highly doubt he would have become a solo artist in his own right had Biggie not have died.

I still think P Diddy is slimey and has a lot of blood on his hands. But Suge was still a terror back in those days. Especially with Vanilla Ice. But back to Diddy now I did find annoying that he kept appearing in Biggie's videos and acting stupid and that
