Ooh, after Steve's rather aggressive reply  (wonder why he deleted his account? Surely not because of one silly thread  ) I thought this thread would go down like an osmium balloon... Awesome to see many replies! I'll have a listen to some of the stuff mentioned tonight  As for favorite artists though, I have quite a lot on my iPod - going by number of songs per artist seems like a good call. The Beatles (28 songs), Bob Marley (72 songs), Coldplay (24 songs), JAY Z (27 songs), Jimmy Cliff (44 songs), Kanda Bongo Man (41 songs), Michael Jackson (35 songs), Rizzle Kicks (15 songs), Snoop Doggy Dogg (12 songs), 2Pac (41 songs) and Jacques Smith (25 songs  ). That's it before I bore everyone... Oh, and I rather love the soundtrack of Super Mario Galaxy. And certain Disney songs. And I confess that I quite like one OneDirection song... just the one, I promise  I also enjoyed some of the music on some of the bus visuals on YouTube by LondonBuses1 and LondonBuses47. Sure, Let The Sun Shine and One Step Beyond were a bit repetitive while still being great tunes, some of the music choices were amazing. Especially the song on the visual for Route 320, a perfect fit. So good I actually paid to download it!  Anyone play any musical instruments? |

I wish I could play drums like Phil Collins but I can't play any instrument I'm afraid. I do wish I took the drums myself! Well, it's never too late  I used to play the piano, got up to grade 7 before I got bored with all the gradings. I also briefly took the guitar... managed grade 1 but had to stop it as music lessons were getting too expensive... I suppose I could have taught my self but I didn't bother... One more question... to anyone who has iTunes... does anyone get this bug that makes the 'Number of Times Played' go up more than it should? There's no way I've played the song 'Happy' 145 times, even though I had a weakness for it some time ago... |

I am actually quite sad that Steve (or DLA180 which he was called for some time) decided to leave over it. I think his contributions will be missed here. BUT - the posts he was not happy with were in a section of the Forum away from the bus sections - in an area where the members can 'socialise' and discuss other things so there was nothing wrong with the posts as such. If you don't like the content don't read them but as he mentioned he just looked at the 'most recent' option so sadly any topic/subject you don't want to read about would be on display. As I mentioned, I am sad to see him leave over this as nobody has done anything wrong so I have no choice other than to respect his decision. |

Glad I'm not the only one to like Fusion.....Return to Forever and Mahavishnu Orchestra early albums are great and Billy Cobham's Spectrum album with Tommy Bolin on guitar - whom went on to play with Deep Purple MkIV That's probably my favourite Cobham album, also liking the live version performed with some of those tracks. Vision of the Emerald beyond is one of my top favourite Mahavishnu Albums from 1974. I especially love the closing track (called Back to Earth..or all the way back to earth) where the music slowly blends from fast pace to slow pace with the guitar adjusting with the transition. Do you like Colosseum? Love this version, better than the album cut: - They are playing Shepherds Bush Empire (January 2015) I think so I may get tickets as chances to see them going forwards will be slim due to age etc. On the video one of the comments is quite amusing where someone asks if the singer is a pre-Doctor Who Tom Baker (it is Chris Farlowe) |

I'm into Electro/Synth, New Wave, a bit of House, Indie/Rock, and great Powerballads!. I have a large range of artists I like eg Jessie J, Justin Timberlake, Katy B, La Roux, Heart, Sam Martin, Robyn, Paramore, Sam Smith, Kiesza, Micheal Jackson, Janet Jackson, Miss Platnum (German Singer). I like K-Pop too lol. Also, being half Egyptian I'm also into Arabic Music |
