Not specifically related to the MMC's (there are numerous examples) but im just wondering if anyone can answer this quick question? Do operator's still have choice on blind layout? Only reason I ask is that the new 109 MMC's have "Croydon Town Centre" all on one line in the same size font whereas the 14 plate Stagecoach E400's on the 75 have "Croydon" large and "Town Centre" small on two lines which I think is much clearer. Just wondered if there is an edit on this or is operators choice?

I read somewhere that new legislation (not sure if it was more EU stuff) meant blinds have to display more information, such as via points. Outside London at least, LEDs now have to mention areas the bus passes thru. Would be nice to see TfL try another 'TfL approved LED blind' again..

You make an interesting point here - the very same blind set shows just 'Brixton' but yet, Arriva put a set in the VLA's at N a couple of years ago with 'Brixton Station'. Even Arriva can't make their mind up as the HV's at BN show 'Brixton' as well lol. What is so wrong with displaying Brixton Station when the blind for 'Streatham' has been lengthened to 'Streatham Station' on the WOB DW's at BN?

That does look like a lot of rear overhang. Gonna be wiping out a lot of street furniture with them I think!!!

first of all i dont think stagecoach livery suits the mmc in general. secondly these look like the scania E400s from a side view, these also lool rather long. I want to see the versions for stagecoach london amd go ahead.

Does anyone know what the London spec ones are after the provincial stagecoach ones in that photo set?

I like the louder sound of the older gen 14/64regs better than the sound of the MMCs. I agree, I generally prefer the sound of the older gen Enviros, especially for the noise emitted through their exhausts when accelerating rapidly.

When are GAL due to get their VolViros? By that I assume you mean the Volvo B5LH's with MMC bodies then entry into service on the 135 from the 23rd May.

I also like the random engine revving as well, like dirt bikes trying to climb steep inclines. The MMCs revv more like the euro5 E40Hs.
