It's not confirmed but I think it's very unlikely those changes made in the consultation will be dropped. oh come on isent it obvious tfl are going to go through with the new addington proposals? anything to save money and there actually quite decent changes that shouldhave happend ages ago No it is not obvious even if you are convinced it is. Clearly TfL want to save money and rationalise parts of the local network in New Addington. However as I have said before there has been a fair amount of local opposition to the loss of frequency, broken links and stand positions on the revised network. There was also reported resistance to the 359 extension. Local councillors have got involved - I've seen their webpages. Now TfL *might* ignore all of the responses and the political aspects but with a general election looming and candidates wanting to make a name for themselves then I doubt they would be quite so clumsy. Parts of Croydon Borough are distinctly marginal and the Tory candidates for the local constituencies will be able to call up Boris and moan like hell if they think TfL isn't paying attention to them. That's the reality of what can go on even if most folks would never be aware of such things. I would also point out that as we get closer to the election then TfL will get caught up in the "purdah" period which prevents changes, announcements or decision making that could be seen as overtly political in their nature. I would not be surprised to see the New Addington changes being postponed until after 7 May 2015 rather than happening in April as I think most people expect. It is worth bearing in mind that this is a rare instance of TfL doing a "network review" rather than just having tender changes clicking through on the normal cycle. Therefore there is more substance to the changes than would normally occur and that has raised the political profile. We must all be patient and *wait* no matter how frustrating it is or how "obvious" we might think the end result will be.

I hope the current DWLs stick around as long as they can. You can't beat the lovely sound the pre-Euro 3 Darts make! Would prefer some PDLs as replacements than ENLs.

Updated list : (All presumed not to meet 2016 emissions standard)
To keep it simple, I thought it is easiest to do this on registration plate, and as now changed to 15-regs suggest cut-off should be 02-reg or earlier. So will take 13 years as a cut-off. Here is the dates registrations issued
V prefix Sep99-Feb00 (15 - 15.5 years old) W prefix Mar00-Aug00 (14.5 - 15 years old) X prefix Sep00-Feb01 (14 - 14.5 years old) Y prefix Mar01-Aug01 (13.5 - 14 years old) 51 (new system) Sep01-Feb02 (13 - 13.5 years old) 02 (new system) Mar02-Aug02 (will become 13 years old Mar-Aug) subsequently Mar-Aug matches year, Sep-Feb has 50 added
Ignore trainers and the heritage routemasters etc.

Tower Transit have two 51 reg DMs for the 339. The result for that route is due with the new contract starting in November. Whether it's retained or not expect them to leave this year.
