Hi
I was wondering if anyone can help me.
I'm trying to find out who manufactures the seats on some of the main buses used by Arriva and the other main bus companies used in the UK.
Particularly in London and Manchester.
Would anyone be able to help me at all?
Thanks

Stagecoach normally use Lazzarini seating of numerous different types while Arriva and Go-Ahead normally use Esteban Civic V2

Hi Again
Would anyone be able to answer the same question for First Group?
And any other major bus seat manufacturers?
Your help has been great so far.

Attachment DeletedWas on LT406 today and wondered why the seat handles were marked up like this. It was on every seat handle on the top deck. Just wanted to know if this happens on most LT or if this is a freak case?

Probably the local scallies bored! That's sort of what I thought. But every seat? It's like they used the whole journey on the bus!

That's what's the yobs used to do to buses from PD, BX, DT, MB & BV but on a much worse scale. I noticed an ADH on the 27 with lots of handrails missing their paint, not good for such a young vehicle.

Wow, that looks bad. I believe Rowan Telmac make those seats, but I'm not sure. They probably painted the metal instead of powder coating it. Powder coat is much more durable than paint. There are lots of different seats on London's buses. Go-Ahead's seats of choice are the Rowan Telmac Telford 20. Lots of PVLs have those, all of their Gemini 1 WVLs, all of the VWLs, as well as all of the Es and their Gemini 3s. Fainsa Cosmic seats were popular with them before 2005 or so. Almost all of the Gemini 2 WVLs have Lazzerini Practico seats. Some (if not all) of the 62 reg WVL batch have Rowan Telmac seats. The Lazzerini Practico seats on the WVLs are very comfortable. More so than on other buses with the same seats for whatever reason. They're very plush, just like the seats on a class 319.

It's amazing to think that the Lazzerini has been around since 1998 when the high backed version debuted on the S reg DLA's

I wish they'd stuck with them. The Lazzerini seats were very plush and comfortable on the DLAs too, from what I recall. On second thought about the LT seat handles. They may have powder coated them, but the powder coat is coming off very easily due to whatever circumstances. The refurbished Abellio Geminis with the yellow handrails are having that problem somewhat.
