So the core was to be utilised at 24tph, that hasn’t been achieved. Which the benefit was to give a really good service between London Bridge and Kings Cross the service can be very hit and miss especially at weekends. There are times when I have had to use the Northern Line instead as the wait on platform 5 is too long.
If multi-billions get spent on a project and some of that money was breathtaking in the complexity of engineering, then at some point it would be great to unleash the full benefits of the project.

What times does the Thameslink trains serve New Barnet? Thameslink haven’t been serving New Barnet since the start of Covid, one peak extra service returns 07:32 WGC - KGX, serves New Barnet at 07:49. Sevenoaks - Welwyn GC peak hour service is due to start in May as driver training has been underway for a few months now. Looks like that peak service doesn't run anymore. Doesn't show up on the latest Thameslink timetable which begs the question why TFL added that branch when Thameslink doesn't serve those stations? Unless they've accidentally added Great Northern services

When i go into work tomorrow i’ll have a look to see what’s running next week and what isn’t.

Purley and Coulsdon South aren't served by the same Thameslink service which will bound to confuse some passengers. Only a couple trains a day run to Orpington (is that a reduction or has it always been like that?)

Where did the trains that partially replaced Cl319s about 12 years ago end up?

Where did the trains that partially replaced Cl319s about 12 years ago end up? The 377/5’s transferred to South Eastern The 387/1’s are currently on the GN. The 377/2’s are still with Southern.

That’s correct, didn’t run Saturdays but was planned to run but covid put that off Also In the coming weeks a St Albans - Elephant & Castle peak service is being looked in to run both morning & evening peaks (these ran during tube strikes) running ECS to Herne Hill turnback sidings starting at Loughborough Junction (unable to terminate at Loughborough J due to no platform staff there)

Surveys are being done at Elephant & Castle station to have barriers and lifts installed to all platforms and the station concourse to be expanded which is way overdue

When will Thameslink re serve South Croydon? I assume it will because its on the latest edition of the Tube Map They will return by May latest, however the East Grinstead to Bedford service is in as a Q path so it could return at a moment's notice. 9J07, the 05:54 Peterborough to Horsham did call at South Croydon until the last set of timetable reductions. This call could be reinstated soon however.

Gatwick Express will start running again from 03/04/22 , this was due to be reintroduced for the May timetable changes but has been brought forward due to increased airport travel and the south terminal reopening
