Well I think the way to solve overcrowding in prisons is to bring back the death penalty. Say all the murderers in this country were executed, it would make space for people who should go to jail for lesser crimes like JSO protestors. It would also result in crime levels dropping as no one would want to commit murder when they know they could be executed. Quite frankly I think that a lot of crimes should be punished by death eg murder, rape, child abuse, trafficking, sexual/physical abuse etc I don't think there is any likelihood of the death penalty being restored and sadly there are still miscarriages of justice such as Andy Malkinson. Having the death penalty didn’t stop people commiting murder.

Would it be viable for Stagecoach to run the 34 from AW if they ever won the route?

The Blackwall Tunnel to be tolled from 2025! Disgusting, complete crap! Can see the Rotherhithe Tunnel being rammed as people try to avoid the tolls.

Who else remembers when the Victoria Line opened Selbourne Rd Walthamstow was the bus station, was a turning loop by the timber yard that was next to the Railway.Buses coming from Chingford direction had to turn left into Church Hill, right into StainforhRd then right into St Mary’s Rd to access Selbourne Rd.

The Central Line from Stratford to Leyton eastbound is ABSOLUTE TORTURE. My goodness the screeching sound on that part of the line can really make a person go deaf. The maintenance folks really need to look at repairing the track on that side along with the Liverpool Street to Bethnal Green eastbound track. That section between Liverpool St and Bethnal Green eastbound has been like that nearly 10 years now!!! Never got all this screeching when the 62TS was running apart from Bank EB which was understandable given the sharp bend.

Totally agree with that, I would also say Knockholt, Swanley, Purfleet, Aveley, South Ockendon, Loughton, Chigwell, Elstree and Borehamwood should also become part of Greater London. There's even an argument that Watford (and Bushey, Carpenders Park, Moor Park and Croxley) should be part of Greater London but that is more debatable as Watford is more of its own separate place. not sure about Knockholt, it's quite rural and far from the nearest town. The boundaries around Elstree were changed, I believe what was previously in Harrow and also Barnet boroughs has now become part of Hertsmere though it may have been the opposite way round. Slough is another town that feels connected to London, especially with the addition of the Elizabeth line. It feels much like Southall and Hounslow, pretty much all of Slough borough is like that. Wasn’t that long ago that Loughton transferred from Met Police to Essex Police.

Anyone here old enough to remember when the lower leagues used to have 11/11:30am kick offs on bank holiday Mondays?Remember one Easter watched Orient beat Plymouth 4-1,jumped on a 241 to Tottenham Hale, walked through the back streets to White Hart Lane and watched Spurs destroy Forest 8-2.Can also remember further back West Ham always had a home match on Christmas morning one year they beat Sheffield Wednesday 7-1.
