www.bbc.co.uk/sport/snooker/65305903Absolutely ridiculous behaviour from these protesters! Everyone has the right to peaceful protest but this has gone way too far. Pretty sure they're linked to Extinction Rebellion, they use the same tactics and if anything it's going to irritate people and actually alienates people rather than them trying to actually do something meaningful to demonstrate climate change issues. Otherwise people are never going to take climate change seriously because of these irritants

There's also a planned disruption of the London Marathon this weekend by these eco activists

There's also a planned disruption of the London Marathon this weekend by these eco activists I'm not sure what more the police can do, a 26 mile course is an easy target for such disruption.

I never have respect for these idiots ever since their climate rebellion BS a few years ago. These so called eco nutters are the worlds BIGGEST hypocrites. It is a selfish organisation to dictate to people what they want, but do not practice what they preach. I remember around Trafalgar Square and Tottenham Court Rd these people littered the streets with waste, even plastic! and they did NOT even throw it in the bin.

Sounds harsh but send them to jail for at least a few months. It's the only way for them to learn their lesson

It's the only way for them to learn their lesson I was surprised to hear that the culprits in the snooker incident have been bailed whilst police continue to investigate. Whilst there might be other factors that we don't know about I'd have thought fastracking them through court and at least a month in prison might act as a deterant to others. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/snooker/65315641

The majority of other countries around the world they would not be let out for months and would be severely punished.

This looks like they are getting softer as not sure why they did not use paint. I guess paint would have been harder to get it passed security. Not sure they will do much at the Marathon as that will cause outrage. Many runners are raising money for charity and that will not go down too well. They may disrupt the main professional race but even that would seem unlikely. Members of the public will probably help police end disruption quickly...

Well at least they made the snooker somewhat interesting for a few minutes.

Well at least they made the snooker somewhat interesting for a few minutes. Obviously those who had paid to watch the snooker found it interesting without any further 'entertainment'.

I can’t help wondering what else there is to investigate, it's hard to think of a more open and shut case! I don't know if there is any credible threat to the London Marathon or just as an assumption that's something is likely to happen?

Isn’t part of their whole thing that any publicity around climate change is good publicity? The Marathon gives them a wide audience which is why they targeted the snooker event because at the time, it was the most notable sporting event on (not condoning what they do, I can’t stand them but just looking at it logically)

This is really getting out of hand now! After the disruption at the Chelsea Flower show in May, they decided to disrupt the cricket a few days ago Mind you I found this article quite funny www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/steward-who-tackled-just-stop-oil-protesters-at-cricket-match-makes-best-linkedin-post-ever/ar-AA1dictsI was walking on Bayswater Road not far from Marble Arch station today where I saw some more protesters literally standing in the road blocking traffic and holding signs like 'climate emergency' and 'hottest June on record'. Everyone has the right to peaceful protest but unfortunately the police do nothing/very little about this which has allowed it to continue for so long. The police take a very soft approach to some crimes unlike many other countries across Europe

The police take a very soft approach to some crimes unlike many other countries across Europe I find it amazing that Just Stop Oil protestor are quickly removed from sports events, but the police choose to do nothing when they commit the unlawful act of blocking a public highway. Police need to start doing their job properly. No place for anarchy in the UK.
