Morebus has announced service changes to take place from Saturday 27th May. These reflect experience of operating the former Yellow Buses routes, and there will be some renumbering to eliminate duplicated route numbers in the Bournemouth-Christchurch-Poole conurbation.
1 (Bournemouth-Christchurch) - renumbered 1c, with a new timetable. Monday-Saturday daytime buses will be extended in a loop alternately via Mudeford, Somerford Sainsburys and Hunt Road, or in the opposite direction.
1a (Bournemouth-Somerford) - new timetable with extra early morning, late evening and peak-time journeys.
1b (Bournemouth-Christchurch) - new timetable, with Monday-Saturday daytime service extended to Burton via Purewell Cross (evening/Sunday service will terminate at Christchurch).
2 (Bournemouth-Castlepoint) - renumbered 22 with a new timetable
4 (Bournemouth-Castlepoint) - renumbered 12 with a new timetable
5/5a (Bournemouth-Kinson) - revised terminal point in Kinson.
6/6A (Bournemouth-Wimborne/Bear Cross) - revised timetable
5/6 (Poole-Tollerford Road/Tower Park) - renumbered 25/26, timetables unchanged
14 (Poole-Royal Bournemouth Hospital) - minor rerouting in Kinson.
18 (Bournemouth-Broadstone) - increased daytime service and new Sunday service introduced.
23 (Burton-Somerford) - route withdrawn, replaced by changes to route 1 (1c) and 1b.
24 (Somerford-Jumpers Corner) - new timetable, withdrawn between Somerford and Christchurch. Rerouted at Jumpers Corner to Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Castlepoint.
50 (Bournemouth-Swanage) - new timetable with increased frequencies for the Summer period
X1/X2 (Bournemouth-Lymington) rerouted via Hoburne Lane, Somerford Sainsburys and Somerford Road direct. Route 1c provides an alternative service for the Mudeford area.
There are also timetable changes to routes 20, 33, 36, 737 and U1 to improve reliability.

A new home for Bluestar and Unilink! Formerly owned by First Bus, our depot in Empress Road provides Bluestar and Unilink with a new headquarters, closer to the city centre. We were thrilled to recently complete the purchase of the depot in Empress Road, and are moving the majority of our operation here from our previous HQ in Eastleigh. Although part of our operation will remain in Eastleigh, we are delighted to confirm that the depot in Empress Road in Southampton is now our HQ. It gives us the perfect base from which to provide comprehensive bus services across the city and surrounding area. Our move to Empress Road will not affect Bluestar and Unilink timetables or services.
