I will be going on holiday to the Isle of Wight next week, so will be sampling some of Go Ahead South Coasts E400 MMCs and E200s and will report findings here.
I'm hoping that the MMCs have good air conditioning, seeing as they are not even a year old yet, probably going to use Island route 8 the most, although a journey on the 38 is scheduled to get somewhere else on the island, and I'm sure I'll use other routes too.
I will also be going on the open top services, which I believe run fairly new G3s that came new as open top.
An ironic thing is that I will have technically been on more MMCs on my trips out of London compared to in, having only ridden ADH45258-45261 in London, but having ridden Stagecoach Souths 107xx batch of MMCs last year and now Go Ahead South Coasts MMCs this year.

I think the open top services on the Isle of Wight use Olympuses (not sure if B9TL or Scania). These were previously used on the Purbeck Breezer services in Dorset, replaced there by new B5TL Evosetis.

Taking a look at a GSC fleet list, the open top fleet is 1 Omnicity, 3 Olympuses, 2 Volvo Presidents, which is even better, I think I'm getting confused with Stagecoach buying G3s as open toppers This gives me a chance to ride an Olympus, something I have yet to ride.

There's one famous route that uses Mini Pointer Darts and goes through a garage like entrance from the street. The roadway and enclosing building are barely larger than the bus so it's a real test of driver skill to get the bus in and through the entrance.
I think it is the 1 between Cowes and Newport.

You're correct, however it now uses 64 reg E200's

I believe those MPDs are now withdrawn/sold, and the route is currently operated by E200s(?), sounds like a pain for the drivers of that route though, but they have fun doing that part of the route Routes I plan to be using the 2, 3 (maybe), 8, 38 & the Island Breezer, so I should get on mainly E400MMCs, an E200 on the 38 and Open top Olympuses or an Omnicity on the island breezer, hopefully the air conditioning is better then some of Londons vehicles

That is something I'm definitely doing, especially with my dad being a train enthusiast (And actually being a driver on the Northern Line, just missing the last of the 1938 stock when he joined). Aren't the Island Line trains due to be withdrawn soon? As I've heard rumours of trams allegedly replacing them in a few years time...

They’ve been saying that for a while in all honesty but I think the issue is the clearance in the tunnel along the line as well as the whole cost of upgrading the entire line.

I think they may be building new trains custom made to be small enough to fit along the route. Ryde tunnel used to occasionally flood, so when the line was electrified, raised the track level which is why it now needs lower height trains, don't think they need to be tube profile though. Not sure if new trains will be 100% new, might be mix of salvaged parts and new bodies. Think something like class 507 bogies, newish motors and control gear from 455 etc. More tram than train

Or even the train that runs on Southend pier?
