Perfect excuse for being late for work too. No one could argue with that I once had to fly to Düsseldorf for work (from city airport). Apparently next day the flight reached Edinburgh instead of Düsseldorf as the pilots had the wrong manifest! Try explaining that!

Just out of interest is there a shortage of trains / drivers on the Jubilee line at the moment? Over the last few weekends I have noticed longer than usual gaps in the services. There are sometimes gaps of 7 or 8 mins and this is noticeable at stations like Stratford where crowds soon build up.
I remember a little while back a new schedule for some reason but wasn't sure if that was temporary.

Yesterday was staff, 12 trains cancelled although the morning had 5 trains also missing for shortage of serviceable rolling stock. even with the reduced timetable from 22 May they are struggling to provide enough trains.

I stopped taking the Jubilee line in November due to its appalling weekend service. I used to take it from London Bridge to Canary Wharf and gaps of 8-10 minutes were common and as you say the crowds builds up very quickly. I usually had to board the 2nd or 3rd train. Quelle surprise it doesn’t sound like it’s improved thus I shall continue refusing to use it.

I use jubilee + Piccadilly and honestly hate the picc so much: - inexplicable 6-8-10-12 min gaps, even in peaks. I once had a 15 min wait for a train at 8pm with everything showing good service. Lost track of the number fo times I have waited 8 min at like 10am - crowded trains - full of big bags

How does it always happen.

How does it always happen. General brief incident at a station's enough to cause gaps as trains behind start bunching up.

That’s just one train cancelled/missing on the usual Night Tube service Trust me this happens on a very regular basis and can’t be described as a “good service” And I wouldn’t say 0720 on a Sun morning can be a night service still ?

That line is packed early Sunday mornings. It was actually as quick to get the 188 from Waterloo to N Greenwich rather than wait.

I’ve seen a report suggesting there’s a shortage of spare parts for these trains which is causing cancellations on a regular basis ?

Exactly why the reduced timetable commenced from 22 May this year.
