I wouldn’t be surprised if other shopping centres start copying what The Glades has done. I saw a video yesterday of youths attacking one guy in a Chicken shop with knives, and you wonder why Bromley has done this… because of people who spoil it for everyone. I believe the under 16s ban was in place for this past Friday only. There was a very serious incident when schools finished up for Easter with large scale fights and reports of water pistols filled with acid being fired indiscriminately at people. With rumours surfacing of a repeat The Glades acted together with local police to restrict entry to the shopping centre and indeed there was a very large police presence on Friday afternoon I’m at a loss to explain the behaviour of an increasing number of young people. There’s a growing sense of arrogance and self-entitlement. So many of them feel like they do whatever the hell they like and to hell with the consequences. I wouldn’t have dreamed of acting the way they do when I was their age but there is just no respect for anyone or anything anymore and I have no idea what the solution is I've also seen a few instances of teenagers fare evading buses and also vaping on them. I do think anti social behaviour is on the rise and I remember a few years back there were quite a few youths on bikes on my local street pulling wheelies

If they're doing it on a busy street in front of cars it's antisocial because it's causing an obstruction

Whats antisocial about youths on bikes pulling wheelies? If they're doing it on a busy street in front of cars it's antisocial because it's causing an obstruction Just like any cyclist? A bike doing a wheelie tends to be faster as well as there's less resistance. There's certainly antisocial behaviour, but I think calling this antisocial is a bit over the top.

Doing a wheelie is more dangerous than having 2 wheels on the ground.

Having 4 wheels on the ground is safer than having 2 wheels, that doesn't make a bike antisocial but a car driver fine.

Sorry I would be well embarrassed to ask to board a bus for free…

Usually their excuses are that they lost their oyster card or they are only riding one stop

When I saw a group of them run across the road to get on my bus I drove past the lot. Do not want any of that stupidness happen on my bus.

Common excuses - It is in the post - It is on its way - I lost my oyster - Can I get on please - I need to get home - Walk on and say nothing - My phone died - It is broken I can tell now if it was their bank card they had to board with but no charge such rubbish would never happen!

You can get pulled over for it as it is dangerous to do on the highway, especially if you lose control. Can easily end with someone underneath a car etc.

Can easily end with someone underneath a car etc. I couldn’t have said that any better myself. I once experienced children on bikes doing wheelies and they were doing it on the wrong side of the road. I stopped and put the handbrake on and let them get on with it. If anyone fell off and hit the bus it would have been comical for myself and the passengers and something for “You’ve been framed”

Can easily end with someone underneath a car etc. A few years ago in Tunbridge Wells I witnessed some kids doing wheelies and one of them lost control and went straight into a car coming the other way, fortunately the car wasn't going very fast and they weren't seriously injured but it could have been a lot worse. The lady driving the car was shaken up as well although she was totally blameless.
