I dont know why TWH are coming out with ideas to provide express routes for commuters to go to city centers in the greater London areas. Whats next for them? Doing a heritage Routemaster service in Central London as they got the RM's And why is TWH using open toppers for their normal service? www.flickr.com/photos/britishbuses/5078711369/I don't see the problem with them doing an express route into London if it works fine.

If that becomes a sucess. I would like to see other commercial companies doing it. Then it will lead the National Rail, LU, Overground and London Buses into a competition.

So long as they: a)Use 'Green Line'as the brand b) Paint them Lincoln Green c) Use the route numbers in the 7** series and d) they all terminate at Aldgate Bus Station ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I think it's safe to say if freebbc was in charge every bus would be a RM or a NBFL ;D ;D ;D ;D I'd really like to see this work, But I think TfL not allowing them to stop near the station will see the end to it

Good luck to them with this route I can't see it working as from Harlow you can get the WAGN or whatever they call themselves these days and Debden the Central Line but it's good to see TWH with some decent buses with proper blinds those TfL stickers need to be removed though let's hope it works out. I think it has the possibility of working - For many people in Harlow, they would have to drive/catch the bus to Harlow Town Station, it might be easier for people to only use one form of transport, and be picked up / dropped off close to their front door. The bus will also be cheaper (I presume) and won't get unbearably packed like the trains often do. Waltham Abbey might be where most of the passengers will come from. The frequencies arn't too extravagant, and every 90 minutes might be the ideal frequency. The Sunday service might be popular too (well, between Harlow and Waltham Abbey at least). I do hope they get some success from this route. I agree with you about the stickers. There will certainly be people confusing the E20 for the London Buses 20 in Loughton/Debden, considering they are using red double deckers on a similarly numbered service with London Buses logos! They put them on the 555 over the summer of 2010, and personally I thought it was a good idea (although the picture you've linked was taken in October 2010 - I guess they might have had a vehicle shortage on that occasion). Certainly saw plenty of passengers enjoying the open-top (including me lol).

The bus will also be cheaper (I presume) Return on the bus is £8 taking 1hr 20 mins Return on the train is £17.50 or £12.20 after 9.30 taking 40ish mins

Currently st Stratford Bus Stop N and the 10:20 E20 service has not turned up yet and its now 10:33. More on the story as my journey may develop. Left Stratford with TP1 at 10:38. Arrived at Loughton and had a driver change over with seeing two TWH buses Former Go-North East X507WRG and Stagecoach Manchester 31319 for the MB1.

Back home now. Despite the bus being 18mins late arriving to Stratford the driver had no stand time so headed back out to Harlow whilst having a driver changeover at Loughton which I mentioned in my previous post. On the hole despite it being late, the route was speedy but I can assure you with the motorways being 40/50mph I can't see TP1 nor TP38 sticking around on the E20 for a while as it might get overheated, etc. My ticket was a £6 single which covered the whole journey from Stratford which is £2 off the return.
Video will be uploaded sometime this evening.
