Back home now. Despite the bus being 18mins late arriving to Stratford the driver had no stand time so headed back out to Harlow whilst having a driver changeover at Loughton which I mentioned in my previous post. On the hole despite it being late, the route was speedy but I can assure you with the motorways being 40/50mph I can't see TP1 nor TP38 sticking around on the E20 for a while as it might get overheated, etc. My ticket was a £6 single which covered the whole journey from Stratford which is £2 off the return. Video will be uploaded sometime this evening. will look forward to your video. At least you had a good journey

I doubt that the normal punter would even notice them anyway, I think it's just us lot that notices these things ;D Don't First run the 265 to Lakeside using TFL buses, yet nobody bats an eyelid I imagine.

Nothing really exciting. Just a plain white ticket, with no company name on it. Usual standard wayfare ticket.

Yes they do, it does get funny looks sometimes going though Essex but most people are used to it, I am always tempted to use my Oyster card on it as well lol

Usual standard wayfare ticket. Well they should be using the ticketing like what TFL is doing. But they will soon be able to take bank cards. Yes they do, it does get funny looks sometimes going though Essex but most people are used to it, I am always tempted to use my Oyster card on it as well lol Its very misleading when you have a company using red buses with London Buses logos all over which is used for a commercial route. it would frustrate the commuters that the route would take TFL fares and oyster cards because the bus is red and it would lead that it would be a TFL bus.

Ticket machines cost alot of money, even a wayfarer 1 machine can set you back around £200. You also have to remember that London Buses get money from government to help run routes etc (although indirectly as TfL decide where the money goes) but hardly any TWH route is ECC subsided, so all the money from the money from the route must cover the costs which include ticket machines and rural essex is not the most profitable of areas in the uk.
Also theres no rule to say london buses cannot be used on non TfL services as how would Rail Replacements work.

TWH needs to take out anything which relates to London Buses because the commuters would get confused if that is a TFL bus. But easily i know its not because it have an old ticket machine. I really do hope the company gets allot popular. I hope they tender 1 TFL bus route like what Sullivan Buses have done.

Indeed, as yourself would know, the U9's MPD's would regularly be seen on High Wycombe's non TfL services and at Garston, the TfL Cadets & Solos have been used on non TfL routes in Watford before.

Indeed, But the problem with the E20 having TfL stickers is that it follows the 20 route and them being similarly numbered could cause some problems with passengers getting on thinking its a 20 etc Don't First run the 265 to Lakeside using TFL buses, yet nobody bats an eyelid I imagine.

I'm more concerned about it being ex-Metroline being with someone even worse than Metroline

I'm sure if CT Plus can do it TWH can although I do recall someone saying that CT Plus find Enviro 200s a tad expensive. On top of that I thought Metroline would be smart enough to preserve TP1 instead of selling it.
