6 people have died in addition to the three attackers. Not to mention 30 people injured. Absolutely awful. But as many have said before, we should not let our lives be stopped by such atrocities. I will still go out to the bus running day in Hertford on RT604, we may not be able to make it to the planned stop on London Bridge, but we will all be defiant to these horrible people who try and destroy cities with so much beat in them, and of course stand with the victims. London will go on, whatever happens.

The LU and NR stations remain closed with trains non stopping, I would have thought they could be kept open for interchange only?

The LU and NR stations remain closed with trains non stopping, I would have thought they could be kept open for interchange only? That may require too many staff to access the area that I assume is within the cordon. The police will not want a crime scene disturbed until they are confident they have collected all the material and info they require. There is also the risk that the public then try to exit the station and end up inside the cordon. Many "doors" to stations are actually on easy release and not necessarily padlocked / locked shut. London Bridge is also a very large complex with multiple ways in and out. There may also be issues about what would happen in the event of a fire - you can't evacuate people into a crime scene - and there may be severe restrictions as to how fire and ambulance services could reach the site. Finally I don't know if any part of the LU / NR station complexes are crime scenes themselves. I have deliberately not watched the news so am going from very scant details as to what happened so if I have something wrong please just let it lie. I really don't want to get into any great debate or argument about this. I've just shared some thoughts based on my previous knowledge as a LU manager. To be honest with you I am surprised NR appear to be running trains to Cannon St and Charing Cross although that doesn't help people on the South Central lines that presently terminate at LOB. I also expect that Network Rail's project to rebuild LOB is also being affected as workmen and lorries can't access the site either.

Southern services are terminating at New Cross Gate or South Bermondsey and then presumably running empty to and from London Bridge?

A flat in Barking has been raided in relation to last night's attack. In the last few minutes a load of helicopters have arrived. My thoughts are with all the families of the victims.

It is a shame that some people think it is okay to do anything like this to any place in the world. I do hope all this attacks stops soon because places are open for everyone but not for any attacks.

Middle of major crime scene so safer for trains not to stop. The crime scene is outside, there is no safety issue. London Bridge station is in the middle of the crime scene so access not possible for passengers or staff.

I second that 100% If the labour pacifist was sitting in the restaurant when it all kicked off, does he think that waving a white hankie and shouting: "I'm against all violence" they would have walked passed him? No doubt the shadow home secratary would be keeping notes on their 'human rights' The labour spin merchants would probably give her 'Prit Stick' and tell her it's lip salve. In case anyone notices, I'm not praising my own post,I hit the thumbs up icon instead of the edit one

The police response was incredible. Once again these heroes run towards trouble when most of us would run away from it. I did read one report this morning that one of the more seriously injured BTP officers confronted the attackers with nothing more than his baton. Incredible courage and bravery
