I passed the proposed Custom House Bus stand today. Work stalled because of the pandemic but pretty much complete now!
The space is tight you can probable get two bus to stand here but not sure about locating a stop to pick up - The 147/474 would probably retain the existing stop.
I always thought the entrance/exit looked quite tight to get buses in and out of. Looks really tight - more like a taxi rank than a bus stand

Just passed the Custom House bus stand and it has had its bus stop markings painted. Will try and get some pictures over the weekend. So I guess it confirms this is the stand I know it was debated if it was big enough.

I did pass it a couple of weeks ago, the markings were painted then and I certainly do agree with you that they're tiny. Only one bus can fit in there. You certainly won't be able to stand more than one route. I imagine the 330s potential extension to Custom House has been shelved and the 241 Royal Wharf extension will kick in straight away when the Elizabeth line opens.

I think the 330 to Custom House was a bit too much IMO. I already think we are going to end up with lots of routes pretty much ending up in the Upton park / East Ham area all via different routes.

Would the 304 just be using the stand then?

Would the 304 just be using the stand then? Yes if that still goes ahead. The original consultation is very out of date now and already the 241 has been subject to a further different proposal as part of the South Newham proposal.
I wouldn't be surprised if we see a new consultation before the Elizabeth Line opens.

That’s overbussing to a different degree

They really need to find a better stand than Connaught Bridge, absolutely pointless terminus. Any room at London City Airport?

They really need to find a better stand than Connaught Bridge, absolutely pointless terminus. Any room at London City Airport? They re-did the layout there making it impossible to stand a route there. The old stand is still present but it's now impossible to actually turn a bus around there. A part of me just wants them to leave the 241 alone and send the 330 into Royal Wharf and leave the 474 as it is.

Noticed the stand for the 330 at Pontoon Dock seems to have been removed somewhere in the last two weeks. The markings on the ground as still there but the flag isn't. I wonder if TfL have decided to send it all the way to North Woolwich after all now.
The other alternative is that a local made off with the stop flag as it was just screwed onto a lamppost rather than being a free standing pole of its own. Being East London I'd not be surprised at all, and there's been a recent TikTok trend of bus furniture being unscrewed and made off with.

I wonder if that trend is the reason why there is a No Entry sign and it’s pole dumped in a back garden on Effra Road since Monday

It's truly unbelievable what people would do just for likes on social media.

Noticed Londonbusroutes.net has updated the 330 changes on the 13/8 but still don't give a actual start date. I wonder what the update was? updates show in green.
330- Extended to Pontoon Dock via Silvertown. PVR changed to 10. (130821)

I think it's the changing of the new terminus name, believe londonbusroutes had it previously as North Woolwich rather than Pontoon Dock but happy to be corrected
