sorry i meant after lockdown cause it came into archway with faster speeds and in the tunnels it has faster speeds than before The section of tunnel between Highgate and East Finchley has had trains travelling at over 50mph for a good while, I'm guessing then other sections of the line have now been done since. From time index 21:55 the train does a Victoria/Jubilee style thrash youtu.be/JV50d4jkxo0

I never realised there used to be a Charing Cross loop. www.ianvisits.co.uk/blog/2011/10/26/the-northern-line-tunnel-that-was-bombed-and-flooded-in-1940-and-is-still-sealed-shut/Moving on to the NLE, where there alternative names considered for Nine Elms Station? To me it seems a bit confusing/misleading having its chosen name as any buses that curtails at Nine Elms does so walking distance from Battersea Power Station. I think a better name for Nine Elms Station should've been Vauxhall South or South Vauxhall, the station roughly a bus stop away from Vauxhall Station itself. . Regarding social distancing it will be interesting to know if any 'special' provisions are being taken for narrow islands Clapham Common and Clapham North. I also reckon platform doors would prove quite practical, baring in mind Clapham North's platform has a bit of a curve towards its north end tunnels.

I would suggest using 'South Lambeth' for the extension's intermediate station, the name the terminus as 'Nine Elms' rather than 'Battersea Power Station'.

One thing to add though is Nine Elms Station is situated right next to the massive Sainsbury's which is called Nine Elms Sainsbury's both officially and locally. Don't forget the market behind Sainsbury's and the station is commonly known as Nine Elms Market ADH45258 the station isn't in the area known as South Lambeth - Google Maps marks this area as the same area where Lansdowne Green as the royal mail depot there is called South Lambeth. Battersea Power Station is a sensible name as it describes the main reason people will use this station which is in the Battersea Park area.

Eg Nine Elms (South Vauxhall) or South Vauxhall (Nine Elms) That would be a similar fashion to how South Wimbledon (Merton) used to be on all the station roundels, one incidentally still evident today on the southbound platform just prior to the tunnel towards Morden

The new Battersea Power Station extension could cause a problem for tube and train map designers (New video by Geoff Marshall) youtu.be/RGliq3eJZPs

The one thing I'm now waiting for is for Camden Town to be rebuilt as that's the one thing that's holding up the northern line returning back to it's original state in it's own right.
I think if and when the split takes place the High Barnet branch will take the Charing Cross branch whereas the Edgware branch will take the Bank branch.

Battersea-Charing Cross-High Barnet would pass no depot, Golders Green is on Edgware branch. They could upgrade the sidings at High Barnet into a full depot if the line split was to occur that way. However it would be more efficient and cheaper to split it Morden > High Barnet and Battersea > Edgware with no crossovers just passenger interchanges at Kennington and Camden. Although again that would probably require the complete rebuild and expansion of Camden Town, which doesn’t seem likely in the current financial squeeze unless already budgeted for. A Battersea > Edgware line would also have great scope for an extension on the southern end to Wandsworth, Roehampton or even Kingston if a suitable route could be found.

Will that be closed?
