If the Elizabeth line is really going to open in the first half of 2022, then I would argue the closure should be delayed until it opens. Big "If"! The Bank project has been a huge project in terms of planning, logistics and expense. It can't be paused just like that for the will-it-won't-it saga that is the Crossrail opening.

As there is going to be the closure of the Bank branch from January, and extra trains running via Charing Cross. Is there going to be more trains during the period also running to Battersea?

All the bank trains will still go to Morden but via Charing Cross. Probably Half of them will terminate at Moorgate.

Wouldn’t the last southbound at 0038½ be more appropriate as that platform is to be abandoned?

When the works are complete at Bank will the old walkways between the Northern Line / Central / DLR close or will they stay open alongside the new ones?

When the works are complete at Bank will the old walkways between the Northern Line / Central / DLR close or will they stay open alongside the new ones? I did pass through Bank yesterday to get from the DLR to the Central Line and the only way I could go was the signposted long way around which involves going up above the Central Line before you can come back down to it. Usually what I would do is come up from the DLR, take a right to the concourse above the Northern Line where I could then go under the Central Line and go up to it. From what I could see even the path from the Central to the Northern concourse vis the spiral staircase is closed off. Coupled with the fact the only way to the District and Circle lines is now via the DLR that station could be one to avoid for the next 6 months as opposed to trying to work with what's available.

I am not sure what way you used to go? Do you mean the long walk way and spiral stairs? I have always found it quick to turn left from the DLR and use the two sets of escalators and stairs by the Waterloo and City Line to the Central Line.

I usually go up the escalators on the right of the DLR as you say, but then take a right towards the Northern and then a left and go up the spiral staircase as opposed to going up to the W&C level where you need to go up more stairs above the westbound running tunnel before coming back down again.

It's been a week since the Bank works started. Has Bank been busy during the week including weekends? I'm planning to get the DLR from there by the start of February
